Job Description

Tax Director

Emerging Travel Group

• Manage the Group’s tax position, including development and implementation of tax strategy across multiple countries • Build close working relationships with local professional advisers, identifying projects and tasks requiring professional advice, and managing delivery and timing of advice (including company openings in new jurisdictions) • Ensure regular and accurate completion of tax filings • Manage the Group’s transfer pricing • Assist in financial planning, including preparation and management of tax forecasts and provisions • Serve as a business partner for other functions on tax-related queries • Take responsibility for continuous process improvement in all taxation matters • Propose process and system improvements to ensure full compliance and manage the effective tax rate within regional companies

Job Requirements

  • At least 5 years of team management experience and significant tax compliance and advisory expertise for multinational companies, preferably within the IT, digital, or e-commerce sectors
  • CPA certification is a strong plus
  • Deep knowledge of international tax laws and accounting standards, with a strong focus on the US market
  • Expertise in tax compliance processes and projects, from data extraction to return submission
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions and recommendations
  • Deep knowledge of transfer pricing rules
  • Tax audit experience from a taxpayer perspective
  • Experience managing outside counsel and other tax advisors
  • Experience working with auditors
  • Fluent English (both written and spoken)
