Healthcare Planning Analyst

• Senior Consultants help our healthcare clients transform their strategy and business processes, improve efficiency and operations, increase transparency and performance management, and comply with Federal laws and regulations. • Prepare and communicate well-organized, effective reports and presentations to client and internal executives. • Mentor more junior consultants to ensure quality deliverables. • Proactively assist in delivery and management of engagement activities led by Guidehouse Engagement Leadership. • Work independently, with minimal supervision, and partner with others to develop relationships across the engagement team. • Lead one or more tasks/work streams within a client engagement, overseeing individual contributions as well as the work of other engagement staff. • Guide client and internal subject matter expert conversations towards effective outcomes. • Identify and mitigate projects risks around scope, schedule, and quality, effectively escalating to engagement leadership. • Develop strategies to solve complex clinical, technical, and operational challenges for our healthcare clients. • Actively support business development activities to help identify, research, and pursue opportunities for new or existing clients. • Contribute to development of team’s industry acumen and capabilities through contributions with clients and internal firm initiatives. • Perform technical and process analyses; data collection; spreadsheet creation and management. • Provide detailed fact finding, research, and analysis to identify and recommend enhancements to continuously improve client operations. • Assess health industry trends to inform clients on leading practices and drive continued transformation efforts. • Develop transformation strategies to inform clients’ long-range strategic planning efforts that drive integration, growth, and standardization. • Communicate solutions and new strategies to clients through reports and presentations.
Job Requirements
- Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Three (3) years or more in the provider healthcare industry, ideally with experience in management consulting focused on health care planning of facilities or service lines based on market research
- A thorough understanding of the provider industry, including a passion for improving clinical operations, that results in driving alignment and connection of services across a system.
- Organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work as part of a team and prioritize resources and time effectively
- Experience maintaining project timelines and contributing to project reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of business, including experience writing reports and client/public-facing documents as well as communicating complex concepts effectively through Microsoft PowerPoint
- Comfort with quantitative analysis in Microsoft Excel and ability to translate analysis findings
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and develop successful professional relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to create clear and compelling presentations for clients on complex topics.

This position provides technical guidance on complex modeling scenarios, manages related projects/tasks, and ensures the integrity of calculations, which are relied upon to estimate Net AR, a focus of the financial audit, and to identify and pursue underpayments. Essential Functions - Contract Build and Modeling Leadership: Lead the input, building, testing, and maintenance of Payor contracts to accurately calculate net expected reimbursement and apply contractual adjustments at the time of billing for Epic, Meditech, PCON, and PIC. - Interpretation and Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert in interpreting complex managed care contracts and government reimbursement methodologies to correctly create and validate contract modeling calculations. - Quality Assurance & Oversight: Oversee and ensure the thorough and timely testing of all new and existing entries into the Contract Modeling/Revenue Cycle system to confirm accurate netting down of AR at the time of billing.
