Procurement Specialist

AECOM

• Support the efficient execution for managing, preparing, and analyzing contracts and procurement agreements • Applies knowledge and utilization of efficient procurement processes, market research, and good business management to ensure timely delivery of goods and services to the customer • Utilizes innovative cost and time efficient strategies in decision-making in the acquisition process • Formulates the contracting approach to best satisfy the requirement • Determines the type of contract best suited to the requirement • Performs cost and price analysis throughout the contracting life • Maintains liaison with contractors to interpret contractual obligations and provide problem resolution • Coordinates with legal, finance, and other departments ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements • Monitors contract execution to ensure obligations are met • Provides training and guidance on contract-related issues to teammates/staff • Collaborates with internal stakeholders across departments to ensure contracts align with business objectives

Job Requirements

  • BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Master’s Degree/Juris Doctorate FAC-C Professional, DAWIA Level II or III, or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in contract management, the principles, contractual terms, pricing structures, pricing tools and data systems, negotiation, project support, finance, contracting, or proposals
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate in writing and in person
  • Demonstrated well-developed organizational and time-management skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple demands and meet established deadlines and commitments
  • Demonstrated leadership skills as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities within strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Role Description The Senior Sourcing Analyst partners closely with the Assistant Director Procurement and business stakeholders to support strategic sourcing, contracting, vendor management, and procurement initiatives. This role is responsible for supporting sourcing strategy development, RFx events, contract negotiations, spend analysis, vendor management, cost savings, and project execution of vendor contracts. This role will support sourcing projects from intake through contract execution and collaborate with Legal, Finance, Technology, and stakeholders to achieve objectives. This position is expected to independently lead smaller sourcing initiatives while supporting larger strategic projects led by procurement leadership. Responsibilities: - Support sourcing projects, strategies, contract execution. - Conduct spend/usage analyses, market research, and supplier landscape to identify cost savings, risk mitigation, and value creation opportunities. - Partner with stakeholders to define business requirements, develop RFx’s, and evaluate vendor proposals. - Support negotiation strategies for vendor agreements, statements of work (SOWs), software licensing agreements, and other commercial contracts. - Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Security, and stakeholders throughout the contract review and execution process. - Identify opportunities for demand management and operational efficiencies. - Lead project planning, stakeholder communications, and status reporting. - Deliver presentations, recommendations, to stakeholders and leadership. Qualifications - 3 to 5+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Category Management, Supply Chain with a focus on technology spend. - BS in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, IT, Mathematics, or other related field. - Sourcing and vendor contracting for software, SaaS, cloud services, AI solutions, technology consulting, telecommunications, and other IT-related categories. - Knowledge of AI technologies and AI service providers such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot. - Experience utilizing AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot. - Experience reviewing, negotiating contracts in partnership with Legal teams. - Previous experience in a professional services or public accounting environment is a plus. - Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. - Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. - Experience with contract lifecycle management (Icertis, other). - Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft 365 applications. - Project Management skills. - Professional certifications such as CPSM, CIPS, CPM, PMP, CPIM, Six Sigma.
