Account Manager – Sales Representative
NB Coatings
• Develops and implements tactical and strategic plans (short and long term) for all assigned accounts in alignment with NPAA’s commercial goals. • Manage all strategic projects, define goals, hold meetings, and identify responsibilities from all departments, and review and present results with all necessary departments in both Lansing and Cleveland. • Maintain assigned account monthly reports. • Travel within territory to Lansing, Cleveland and customer required support meetings. • Enter sample orders and commercialize products as necessary. • Partnering closely with the Technical Team, define, develop and manage all new business opportunities within the geographic territory outside of the assigned account profile. • Work with all departments on problem solving activities related to assigned accounts. • Maintain and lead Action Registers when needed. • Maintain an advanced knowledge of NPAA product offerings that meet customer expectations. • Builds strong relationships with all levels of customer base (Plants, Purchasing, Engineering). • Independently sells NPAA products and services. • Develop and update annual sales budget and reforecasts for accounts in assigned territory. • Lead supply agreement and contract development at target customers. • Complete all forecasting functions at assigned accounts including monthly forecasting reviews with customers and acquiring customer acknowledgement for production materials. • Manage aged inventory via requirements outlined in the supply agreement. • Lead all pricing activities for assigned accounts with the goal of achieving maximum value for NPAA products. • Review and update customer pricing on an annual basis. • Analyze customer profitability data to form strategies for margin improvement and maintenance. • Lead/coordinate customer visits – tours, specific audits, new program launch meetings. • Monitor customer Quality score cards – lead action plans for improvement. • Complete annual (or when updated) reviews of Customer Supplier Quality manuals. • Continuously improve job function capabilities through internal and external training.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors Degree with five (5) years of Automotive Coatings experience in Technical Service, Color Lab, Outside/Inside Sales or equivalent of 10+ years of coatings experience in Technical Service, Color Lab, or Inside/Outside Sales.
- Manufacturing industry experience required.
- Previous OEM sales account management experience in automotive coatings preferred.
- SAP and BOBJ experience preferred.
