• Lead the power system modeling and simulation function for the Operational Technologies team. • Build, manage, and maintain plant models in PSS®E, PSLF, PSCAD, RTDS, RT-LAB, and similar tools for PV, BESS, wind, and hybrid plants, including plant control systems. • Develop and validate control models for PPC, EMS, BESS controls, inverter-based resources, and microgrid controllers for both grid-connected and islanded operation. • Support the design and simulation of microgrid control strategies, including dispatch logic, mode transitions, load sharing, spinning reserve management, black start, and coordination of solar, storage, generator, and utility interconnection assets. • Perform dynamic, transient, EMT, and stability studies for renewable plants, storage systems, and microgrids. • Lead and represent the Operational Technologies group on all matters related to power systems, controls, and microgrid performance. • Support leadership in responding to DOE/SETO FOAs and other power systems research initiatives and proposals. • Support hardware-in-the-loop and controller-in-the-loop testing for protection, plant control, EMS, and microgrid control systems. • Develop technical documentation, testing procedures, validation methods, and study reports for internal and external stakeholders. • Lead continuous improvement and lessons-learned programs related to modeling, controls, and system performance. • Perform other duties as required by management.

Role Description The Senior Electrical Solutions Engineer provides technical electrical knowledge and support to all Global Solutions Engineering (GSE) activities related to hyperscale clients and is responsible for developing and delivering innovative and effective solutions that meet customer needs and drive business growth. This role is a combination of technical electrical engineering and business development, specifically focused on helping close hyperscale business via data center and product knowledge, solution design, exceptional presentation skills, and knowledge of the NTT Data GDC facilities. The Senior Electrical Solutions Engineer will ensure the highest standards of technical excellence and customer satisfaction, contributing to the overall success of the organization. - Reports to the Director of Americas Region for Global Solutions Engineering and works closely with NTT Data GDC Sales Representatives to develop a thorough understanding of hyperscale customer technical requirements particularly electrical systems. - Consult on electrical system modelling using AmpCalc, ETAP, and other electrical design software. - Networks with internal Sales Engineering team in analyzing RFPs, responding to RFP questions, and participating in client site visits. - Executes the electrical solutioning of hyperscale client requirements in alignment with NTT Data GDC company goals and objectives. - Works closely with NTT Construction and Design Management teams to detail client requirements and identify scope items and variances that impact Non-Recurring Costs (NRC) and Schedules of delivery. - Gathers client electrical requirements and collaborates with other NTT Data GDC teams including Subject Matter Experts, Design Management, and Construction to oversee the development, design, and delivery of complex electrical solutions, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance. - Preparation of the electrical response package for client requests and communicates solutions back to the client in a timely manner. - Drives innovation within the Global Solutions & Sales Engineering team, staying up-to-date with the latest hyperscale industry trends and technologies. - Works closely with the overall Global Product & Sales Strategy team and consults/assists in capacity and space planning with Space/Capacity Management teams. - Works with the Fit-Out teams to implement electrical solutions in existing spaces. - Demonstrates understanding of electrical data center design concepts and differentiators (liquid cooling, maintainable fault tolerant power, security redundancy, etc.). - Supports NTT Data GDC Legal teams in contract and lease reviews, ensuring terms align with both the customer’s and NTT Data GDC requirements. - Works closely with NTT sales representatives, product management, SMEs, design, construction, operations, legal, and customer support teams to ensure seamless integration of solutions and successful project delivery. Role Description We are seeking a senior Electrical Engineer to design Fluidstack's modular, factory-built electrical infrastructure - the electrical counterpart to our Manufacturing Engineering group. Speed-to-power at gigawatt scale depends on moving electrical scope from the field into the factory: modular e-houses, switchgear and PDU skids, prefabricated electrical rooms, and repeatable packaged power solutions. As the area SME, you will own electrical design for these productized solutions end to end - from equipment selection through design-for-manufacturability, vendor factory collaboration, factory acceptance testing, and site integration. You will turn one-off designs into standardized, versioned products that deploy across dozens of sites. Responsibilities - Own electrical design of modular and prefabricated power infrastructure for data centers: switchgear skids, modular electrical rooms, and modular data centers. - Apply design-for-manufacturability principles - standardization, tolerances, transportation and rigging constraints, factory workflows - so modules are repeatable, testable, and fast to deploy. - Develop and maintain standard designs, specifications, and configuration control for the modular product line, integrating lessons learned across deployments. - Support site integration and commissioning of modular solutions, feeding field findings back into product revisions. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. - 7+ years of electrical engineering experience, including data center or other mission-critical facilities. - Strong background designing modular electrical solutions for data centers - e-houses, skids, prefabricated electrical rooms, or packaged power equipment. - Solid working knowledge of the data center power chain: MV/LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators, ATS, and Busway systems. - Demonstrated design-for-manufacturability experience: designing equipment or assemblies for factory production rather than field-built construction. - Experience working directly with equipment manufacturers, including design reviews and factory acceptance testing. Preferred Qualifications - BIM/VDC proficiency (Revit, Navisworks, clash detection) and prefabrication planning experience. - Professional Engineer (PE) license. - Prior experience at a hyperscale data center operator, modular infrastructure manufacturer, or packaged power solutions provider. - Exposure to quality systems and production engineering (ITPs, first-article inspection, NCR processes).
