Role Description We are seeking a senior Electrical Engineer to design Fluidstack's modular, factory-built electrical infrastructure - the electrical counterpart to our Manufacturing Engineering group. Speed-to-power at gigawatt scale depends on moving electrical scope from the field into the factory: modular e-houses, switchgear and PDU skids, prefabricated electrical rooms, and repeatable packaged power solutions. As the area SME, you will own electrical design for these productized solutions end to end - from equipment selection through design-for-manufacturability, vendor factory collaboration, factory acceptance testing, and site integration. You will turn one-off designs into standardized, versioned products that deploy across dozens of sites. Responsibilities - Own electrical design of modular and prefabricated power infrastructure for data centers: switchgear skids, modular electrical rooms, and modular data centers. - Apply design-for-manufacturability principles - standardization, tolerances, transportation and rigging constraints, factory workflows - so modules are repeatable, testable, and fast to deploy. - Develop and maintain standard designs, specifications, and configuration control for the modular product line, integrating lessons learned across deployments. - Support site integration and commissioning of modular solutions, feeding field findings back into product revisions. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. - 7+ years of electrical engineering experience, including data center or other mission-critical facilities. - Strong background designing modular electrical solutions for data centers - e-houses, skids, prefabricated electrical rooms, or packaged power equipment. - Solid working knowledge of the data center power chain: MV/LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators, ATS, and Busway systems. - Demonstrated design-for-manufacturability experience: designing equipment or assemblies for factory production rather than field-built construction. - Experience working directly with equipment manufacturers, including design reviews and factory acceptance testing. Preferred Qualifications - BIM/VDC proficiency (Revit, Navisworks, clash detection) and prefabrication planning experience. - Professional Engineer (PE) license. - Prior experience at a hyperscale data center operator, modular infrastructure manufacturer, or packaged power solutions provider. - Exposure to quality systems and production engineering (ITPs, first-article inspection, NCR processes). Benefits - Competitive total compensation package (cash + equity). - Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms. - Health, dental, and vision insurance. - Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms. - The base salary range for this position is $200,000 - $250,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. - This range represents our good faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting. Total compensation may also include equity in the form of stock options. - We are committed to pay equity and transparency.

Role Description We are seeking a senior Substation Design Engineer to support HV/MV substation design across our data center campuses. This is an owner-side role: you will lead substation design from siting and interconnection studies through IFC, construction, FAT, and energization - directing EPCs, consultants, utilities, and equipment manufacturers across a multi-GW portfolio spanning ERCOT, PJM, MISO, and other regions. You will own the technical quality of design packages, lead the engineering studies that underpin them, and build the substation standards - Basis of Design, standard drawings, equipment specifications that allow Fluidstack to deliver repeatable substations at speed. Responsibilities - Lead HV/MV substation design (up to 345 kV and above) and MV distribution interfaces for hyperscale campuses, from concept through IFC and energization. - Review and approve EPC- and consultant-produced deliverables: physical/structural layouts, electrical drawings, protection & control packages, and construction documents. - Perform and review engineering calculations and studies: load flow, short circuit, arc flash, grounding and bonding, lightning, insulation coordination, relay coordination, and cable ampacity. - Develop scopes of work, RFPs, and equipment specifications for long-lead equipment (transformers, switchgear, breakers); run technical bid evaluations and witness factory acceptance tests. - Provide technical input to utility interconnection processes and agreements (ESAs/CDAs), coordinating with ISOs/RTOs and utility engineering teams. - Support construction, commissioning, and phased energization planning, including resolution of field issues and RCAs. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. - 8+ years of experience in HV/MV substation design (transmission and distribution voltages, up to 345 kV). - Demonstrated ownership of full substation design packages: one-lines/three-lines, physical layouts, grounding, raceway, and protection & control drawings. - Experience developing equipment specifications, running technical bid evaluations, and witnessing factory acceptance tests for major HV/MV equipment. Preferred Qualifications - Professional Engineer (PE) license. - Owner-side experience at a hyperscale data center operator or large industrial developer. - Direct experience with utility interconnection processes and technical inputs to ESAs/CDAs in ERCOT, PJM, MISO, or CAISO. - Experience with both AIS and GIS substation architectures. - Track record of standards authorship: Basis of Design documents, standard drawing libraries, commissioning scripts, responsibility matrices. Benefits - Competitive total compensation package (cash + equity). - Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms. - Health, dental, and vision insurance. - Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms. The base salary range for this position is $200,000 - $250,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. This range represents our good faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting. Total compensation may also include equity in the form of stock options.
