Job Description

Revenue Accountant

RouteSmart Technologies

• Review agreements to determine the correct revenue treatment under the guidance of ASC 606. • Investigate billing, contract, and revenue recognition issues to determine root causes and implement corrective actions. • Assist in month-end close process and prepare revenue related account reconciliations • Assist in documentation/implementation of revenue accounting processes and internal controls. • Support business processes by partnering with other departments, including but not limited to Sales, Revenue Operations, Legal, FP&A, and Corporate Accounting. • Collaborate cross-functionally to address customer billing concerns, system errors, and process inefficiencies. • Participate in various system automation and enhancement projects to promote more timely and accurate financial reporting • Support request for either financial or tax authority audit or review, and other ad-hoc requests

Job Requirements

  • BS in Accounting
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex revenue transactions, identify discrepancies, resolve billing and revenue recognition issues, and implement process improvements that enhance financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Strong communication skills via multiple platforms and tools.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
  • Team player with strong work ethic
  • Experience working in a complex ERP system; Sage Intacct is strongly preferred
  • Working experience with Salesforce.com is a plus
  • Efficient with Microsoft Excel

Role Description The Senior Accountant role is responsible for assisting in preparing and analyzing the monthly financial statements, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, and assisting with external audit requests. Utilizing hands-on accounting experience and an in-depth understanding of accounting principles and company practices, this position performs complex accounting activities and financial analyses. The Senior Accountant role will also assist with various finance departmental obligations as needed. - Revenue and Expense: - Manage core accounting processes: track and record prepaid expenses, fixed assets (acquisitions, depreciation, disposals), payroll entries, and related accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting. - Maintain workforce and compensation-related accounting: manage FTE schedules and evaluate reserves for short- and long-term bonus liabilities. - Claims Accounting and Reserving: - Record claims-related journal entries (including IBNR) and support accurate financial reporting. - Prepare claim reserving and cost analysis schedules, leveraging strong knowledge of reserving models. - Financial Statements and Analysis: - Support monthly close and reporting: prepare financial statements, perform account analysis, complete balance sheet reconciliations, and resolve outstanding items. - Analyze financial performance and payroll-related costs: evaluate expense and salary fluctuations against prior periods and budget, and communicate insights to senior leadership. - Adhere to Lucet’s Mission Statement, Core Values, Behaviors, Code of Ethical Business Conduct, and Compliance Program. - Comply with all Federal and applicable State and local laws and Lucet Policies and Procedures regarding privacy, confidentiality, and security of health information, and other designated information.
