Software Development Engineer in Test II – SDET II

• Build and implement scalable automated quality assurance best practices • Test planning, documentation, and execution of functional and regression automated tests written in Java and/or Groovy • Actively participate in grooming/sprint planning sessions and work with product and development teams to define priorities, provide feedback concerning accuracy and testability • Setting up, maintaining, and performing test automation frameworks on multiple systems • Work with deployment teams to resolve issues and collaborate on product design • Researching test tools, methodologies, and trends to upgrade existing practices and processes • Work closely with the project team, product owners and other stakeholders to develop the automated test strategy and product test plan • Log bugs in JIRA with steps and details to help pinpoint developmental issues • Maintain automated test plans and update automated test scenarios and test cases based on requirements for system integration, functional, regression and performance testing
Job Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in planning, designing, developing, and executing tests using playwright and selenium
- 3+ years of experience in building test automation frameworks from scratch
- 2+ years of experience with Test Frameworks e.g. TestNG, Spock framework
- Strong knowledge of Git/GitHub, Jenkins, and other DevOps tools
- Fundamental knowledge or familiarity with Agentic AI
- Hands on experience with automation testing across API’s, UI, micro services, frontend, and backend systems
- Prior experience working in an agile/scrum environment with a solid understanding of QA and software development processes and methodologies

Role Description - Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java 17/21+. - Build scalable and resilient applications using Spring Boot and Spring Framework. - Develop and consume RESTful APIs with proper design standards (HATEOAS, versioning, etc.). - Architect and implement Microservices-based systems ensuring scalability and fault tolerance. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, DevOps, QA, product owners) to deliver high-quality solutions. - Optimize application performance, scalability, and security. - Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following best practices and coding standards. - Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture decisions. - Troubleshoot and debug production issues with a focus on root cause analysis. - Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
