Job Description

Web Marketing and AI Strategy Manager

Netchex

Role Description This is not a maintain-the-status-quo role. As Web Marketing & AI Strategy Manager, you’ll own Netchex’s web presence end-to-end — publishing at high volume, keeping the site performant, and driving measurable SEO results — while leading the charge on how AI and automation can make our marketing engine faster and smarter. You come in with a 30/60/90 plan, a point of view on our platform, and the drive to keep improving both. Key Responsibilities - Web Publishing & Content Execution: - Publish and maintain high volumes of pages — blogs, listicles, landing pages, industry and campaign pages — on tight daily and weekly deadlines. - Translate briefs and design mockups into polished, on-brand web pages across any CMS. - Own internal linking, page hierarchy, and site navigation as the content library scales. - Collaborate with content, design, and product marketing to execute campaigns end-to-end. - AI Workflows & Automation: - Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Surfer SEO, etc.) daily to accelerate content production, SEO optimization, and page creation. - Build automated workflows that eliminate manual, repetitive work — publishing pipelines, tagging, scheduling, and reporting. - Evaluate and own the AI tool adoption roadmap across the marketing stack. - Optimize content presence for LLM and AI-powered search surfaces (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews). - SEO & Content Optimization: - Apply on-page SEO best practices to every page: title tags, meta descriptions, header structure, schema markup, and internal linking. - Conduct periodic audits for broken links, redirect issues, duplicate meta, and crawlability problems. - Implement structured data / JSON-LD for blog posts, events, and product pages. - Stay current on algorithm updates and apply changes proactively. - Platform Strategy & Technical Management: - Evaluate the current WordPress setup and deliver a clear recommendation on what to improve, replace, or migrate — with a phased roadmap. - Own performance hygiene: plugins, Core Web Vitals, caching, and image optimization. - Manage script injections, tag management (GTM, GA4, HubSpot), and cookie consent / privacy compliance. - Write and edit HTML, CSS, and light PHP/JavaScript; coordinate with developers on complex builds. Qualifications - 3+ years managing a content-heavy marketing website (WordPress self-hosted or similar) in production. - AI-native: daily use of AI tools for content, SEO, and automation — not just experimentation. - Technical: proficient in HTML, CSS, and light PHP/JavaScript; comfortable in code without breaking things. - SEO fundamentals: structured data, metadata, crawlability, and internal linking best practices. - Integrations: experience with GTM, GA4, HubSpot, Hotjar, and cookie consent / GDPR/CCPA compliance. Preferred - Headless CMS (Contentful, Sanity, Webflow), B2B SaaS background, Git, or Figma handoff experience. - Portfolio: links to sites, pages, or AI-assisted workflows you’ve built carry significant weight. About You - You think in systems — you spot friction in a workflow and fix it before anyone asks. - You’re AI-native. You use AI tools every day and get real, production-ready output from them. - You ship. You’re given a brief, you move fast, and you don’t need hand-holding. - You take ownership. Broken or off-brand? You notice it and resolve it. - You’re equally at home in a visual editor and a code editor. - You come in with a plan and communicate proactively when something changes. Why You’ll Love This Role - Real ownership from day one — you run the web experience, not support someone else running it. - AI is in the job description, not a perk — you’ll use it, build with it, and push the team forward. - A marketing engine that’s actively accelerating — high-volume publishing and leadership that wants to win in search. - A platform decision that’s genuinely open — your recommendation carries real weight. - Remote-first culture that values speed and outcomes over activity. Equal Opportunity Employer Netchex is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
