Remote Mainframe Sr Infra Engineer

About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a skilled, motivated team player who will be responsible for supporting mainframe connectivity products such as Communication Server, Telnet, Netview, FTP, monitoring tools, session manager, and off host consoles. Be able to work with vendors and third-party networks to establish EE connections and file transfer paths through proxy servers. Troubleshoot connectivity and response time issues between mainframe, distributed network, and connections external to the company. Monitor the mainframe network via automation tools, alerting the team, operations, and management of any outage or issue. Be responsible for move/add/change requests securing connection with the mainframe via ATTLS and IPsec, defining new IP ports, dvipas, and ddvipas, and coordinating new DNS reservations. Install and apply maintenance to software products supported by the team. Support creation and distribution and maintenance of certificates for various mainframe connectivity products. Support mainframe network production, development, and BCP environments ensuring consistency and availability for Wells Fargo and our customers. Constantly research and implement new security enhancements, security remediation, improve performance, availability, and redundancy. Support the growth of the team by training and mentoring junior team members.
