Job Description
SEO Specialist
Veta Virtual
• Driving organic traffic growth for client accounts — implementing on-page SEO best practices, advanced keyword research, technical optimizations, and site structure improvements that produce measurable ranking results. • Evaluating website traffic and rankings using GA, GSC, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and GBP — identifying growth opportunities, diagnosing issues, and translating data into clear action plans. • Implementing internal linking strategies, keyword cannibalization diagnoses, competitor analyses, and full website audits — going deep into every account to find what others miss. • Developing and executing Local SEO strategies and GEO initiatives — building tactics to improve rankings in local search, Google Maps, AI Overviews, and LLM visibility. • Collaborating with SEOs, content writers, designers, and developers on new experiments, client deliverables, and ongoing optimization work — contributing to a culture of testing and continuous improvement. • Experimenting with new SEO tactics, challenging the status quo, and pushing the boundaries of what drives results — this team rewards curiosity and evidence-based thinking over industry consensus. • Attending SEO conferences and webinars, staying current on algorithm updates and emerging trends, and bringing new insights back to the team proactively. • Working directly with clients — understanding the true need behind every request, communicating findings clearly, and recommending the best path forward even when it requires challenging assumptions.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience — with demonstrated, proven ability to rank pages and websites.
- 2+ years of client-facing experience in an SEO agency environment — you know how to manage client expectations, communicate complex SEO concepts clearly, and uncover the real need behind every request.
- Advanced proficiency with GA, GSC, and GBP — and strong working knowledge of Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and equivalent SEO tools.
- Proven ability to execute both short-term and long-term SEO strategies — you know when to go for quick wins and when to build for sustained organic growth.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills — you are comfortable in the uncertainty of algorithm changes and thrive on finding patterns where others see noise.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple client accounts simultaneously, and deliver consistent results in a fully remote environment.
- Bonus: experience building and growing your own website — nothing teaches SEO like having your own rankings on the line.
- Bonus: experience with digital PR, link building, or off-site SEO strategies.
- Bonus: comfort with WordPress or other CMS platforms, and basic HTML/CSS knowledge.
- Bonus: experience in the automotive vertical or with local SEO for multi-location businesses.
- Bonus: good eye for UX and web design — understanding how user experience and SEO interact.
Benefits
- Competitive salary in USD — paid consistently every month, no matter where you are.
- 10 paid vacation days per year plus all U.S. federal holidays.
- 100% remote — work from anywhere in LATAM or Europe with a professional home setup.
- True ownership over strategy and execution — with the freedom to experiment, test, and prove your ideas in a team that rewards curiosity and results over convention.
- A collaborative, high-growth culture inside an award-winning digital marketing agency — where continuous learning, healthy debate, and real experimentation are part of how the team operates every day.
- A supportive environment through Veta Virtual and our client — with a clear path to growth, access to SEO conferences and webinars, and a team that genuinely invests in making you better at your craft.
