Join us in powering a future resonating with Central Moloney's strength.  Responsibilities  - Design single phase and three-phase pole and pad-mount distribution transformers according to customer and industry specifications (IEEE, ANSI, DOE, CSA).  - Prepare drawings, data schedules, nameplate details, and bills of materials for customer approval and manufacturing release.  - Review designs and winding specifications to ensure compliance with design rules and standards.  - Perform fuse coordination as required.  - Recommend material substitutions when necessary to optimize design.  - Provide shop support to resolve manufacturing issues.  - Assist Quality Control (QC) in diagnosing electrical failures during testing.  - Support sales and marketing with technical documentation and drawings for bids and proposals.   .

• Participate in project teamwork planning sessions and may take a lead role. • May assume project engineering responsibilities and adhere to financial and work goals. • Initiate project designs and help to develop design goals and systems. Perform electrical engineering systems design for building construction. • Design lighting, power distribution, signaling, communications and/or telecommunication systems for healthcare, education/higher education and commercial clients per applicable codes. • Prepare construction documents including drawings and specifications. Guide less experienced team members in execution of drawings. Specify electrical equipment. • Complete quality control checks of engineering documents and layout systems in regard to components and parts. • Participate in value engineering sessions with Architectural/Engineering team. • Recommend improvements with reference standards and processes to improve quality, coordination, and to streamline production efforts. • Review and markup of shop drawings and submittals. Respond to RFI’s and review of change orders in the preparation of construction documents. • Conduct job site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress. Attend and participate in construction meetings. Site visits frequently require a physical walk-through of site. • May perform other related tasks as needed.

• Design switchboards, modular power pods, and power distribution assemblies. • Produce single-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts. • Ensure adherence to UL, NEC, IEC, and safety standards. • Develop modular, scalable, and cost-optimized designs. • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure manufacturability and reliability. • Participate in new product development initiatives. • Create and execute test protocols for electrical performance. • Drive UL/IEC certification processes. • Ensure product safety, reliability, and sustainability. • Work with Operations, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing Engineering on product launches. • Interface with suppliers, labs, and customers for technical support. • Perform root cause analysis for field/product issues. • Recommend design enhancements to increase reliability and efficiency.

Role Description As a member of our Protection & Control Engineering Services Team, you will be responsible for creating substation drawing packages including: - One-line drawings - Three-line drawings - DC schematics - Wiring diagrams - Cable schedules - Component layouts - Electrical plans - Detailed assembly drawings These will be drafted using AutoCAD® and MicroStation. Our P&C Engineering Services teams also perform: - Fault analysis and coordination studies - SCADA settings - Developing settings for most station relays A Day In The Life: - Interpret customer specifications and provide a design which meets all requirements - Understand the theories and fundamentals of electrical circuits and related components - Check/yellow line protection and control wiring diagrams to schematic diagrams - Create control panel and field equipment wiring diagrams from schematic diagrams - Create project specific protection and control schematic diagrams from standard customer schematics - Create protection and control schematic diagrams from a 1-Line diagram - Update/revise existing customer substation legacy Brownfield schematic and wiring diagrams - Collaborate with designers and engineers on technical issues - Perform all Project Management activities and lead small projects without supervision - Recognize a need for, and champion process improvements - Customer visits (travel approximately 10% of the time) Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology; P.E. license or P.E. track preferred - Minimum one year of Transmission and Distribution Protection and Control related experience Company Description Hubbell creates critical infrastructure solutions that power our customers, communities, people and the planet.
