Job Title: Entrepreneurship Program Coordinator Classification: Full-Time @ 40 hrs/wk, Non-Exempt, Work authorization is required Duration: This position is funded by a 2-year grant. ABOUT THE POSITION The Entrepreneurship Coordinator supports the implementation and coordination of Immigrants Rising’s entrepreneurship programs, including training initiatives, microgrant programs, pitch competitions, and technical assistance efforts. This role focuses on program logistics, participant coordination, documentation, and administrative execution to ensure the smooth delivery of entrepreneurship programs. Working under the direction of the Entrepreneurship Director or Manager, the Coordinator helps execute defined program plans, track participant engagement, and support financial disbursement processes tied to entrepreneurship initiatives. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is detail-oriented, systems-minded, and deeply committed to advancing economic mobility for undocumented entrepreneurs. This position is funded by a 2-year grant. Position continuing is contingent on grant funding. KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Program Coordination & Implementation (Approximately 40% of the role) - Support the execution of entrepreneurship programs, including trainings, workshops, pitch competitions, and microgrant initiatives. - Coordinate logistics for virtual and in-person events (scheduling, registration, materials, reminders, follow-ups). - Track participant enrollment, attendance, milestones, and completion requirements using organizational tools (Airtable, Asana, etc.). - Maintain updated program resources, toolkits, templates, and contact lists. - Conduct structured check-ins with entrepreneurs to monitor progress and program compliance. - Document processes and procedures to ensure consistent program implementation. - Provide administrative and operational support to ensure programs stay on timeline and aligned with established goals. Participant Support & Accountability (Approximately 25% of the role) - Maintain consistent communication with program participants, responding to inquiries clearly and professionally. - Provide structured support and accountability to entrepreneurship participants in alignment with program agreements. - Monitor completion of required deliverables tied to grant disbursements or pitch competition eligibility. - Respond to participant inquiries in a timely and professional manner. - Escalate complex technical, legal, or financial questions to appropriate staff. - Help ensure participants understand program expectations, timelines, and reporting requirements. Communication & Cross-Team Coordination (Approximately 25% of the role) - Draft meeting notes, participant communications, and internal updates. - Maintains communication with cross-programmatic departments to identify opportunities for collaboration.  - Coordinate with Communications, Development, and Research teams to provide participant stories, engagement metrics, photos, and updates. - Support outreach efforts to promote entrepreneurship programming. - Communicate with external vendors, speakers, contractors, and partners as assigned. - Follow organizational communication norms and effectively utilize tech systems. Financial & Administrative Support (Approximately 10% of the role) - Support tracking of stipends, microgrant disbursement schedules, honorariums, and participant agreements according to established procedures. - Maintain organized financial documentation related to entrepreneurship programs. - Submit reimbursements and expense reports accurately and on time. - Support grant reporting processes by tracking outputs and maintaining accurate data records.

Job Requirements

  • Role Specific Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience (including internships, volunteer work, or community-based roles).
  • Experience supporting entrepreneurs, small business owners, or community-based economic initiatives preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under supervision.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort learning and using digital systems and project management tools.
  • Preferred Skills & Experience
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience.
  • Prior participation in an Immigrants Rising entrepreneurship program (e.g., BizHub, SEED).
  • Familiarity with small business development, business formation, or capital access concepts.
  • Experience using Asana, Airtable, Slack, Confluence, Google Workspace, and Zoom.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English preferred).
  • Experience working in a fully remote environment.

  • This is a full-time, non-exempt position paid an hourly rate of $28.85 - $33 per hour.
