HR Advisor
R1 RCM
Role Description As the HR Advisor, you will serve as a primary point of contact within a centralized HR service delivery model, supporting associates and people leaders across all 50 states. This role manages end-to-end resolution of employee inquiries and concerns ensuring consistent, timely, and compliant handling of cases in a high-volume, centralized environment with a strong focus on employee relations, performance management, labor law compliance, and risk mitigation. To thrive in this role, you must have a strong understanding of policies, tools, and resources as well as strong consulting skills and experience resolving complex HR issues. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Employee Relations & Case Management - Serve as point of contact for employee and leader inquiries, managing cases through intake, review, resolution, and closure. - Provide guidance on workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and employee relations matters. - Performance Management & Disciplinary Action - Partner with people leaders to draft and review objective, legally defensible Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) and disciplinary actions. - Review and approve disciplinary actions and performance plans to ensure alignment with company policy and consistency across cases. - Provide coaching to leaders on performance management, documentation, and communication. - Termination Risk Review & Support - Review involuntary termination requests to assess risk. - Provide recommendations and guidance to leaders to ensure decisions are well-supported and defensible. - Support leaders in preparing for and delivering termination communications. - Leave of Absence (LOA) Support - Educate associates on leave processes and available resources (e.g., FMLA, ADA, company leave policies). - Conduct follow-up with associates to ensure understanding. - Partner with leaders and COEs to address situations where associates fail to return from leave or do not obtain required approvals. - ADA & Interactive Process - Facilitate the interactive process for accommodation requests in compliance with ADA requirements. - Partner with associates and leaders to evaluate accommodations and identify reasonable solutions. - Maintain clear documentation throughout the interactive process. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience. - 3+ years of HR experience with a focus on employee relations, case management, or HR advisory services. - Experience supporting multi-state or nationwide employee populations. - Strong knowledge of employment laws, including ADA, FMLA, FLSA and general employee relations practices. - Demonstrated ability to assess risk and make sound, defensible recommendations. - Demonstrated interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, with experience de-escalating issues and facilitating effective outcomes. - Solid business acumen to make informed people decisions within operational environments. - Established ability to influence people leaders through clear policy aligned guidance and sound judgment in complex employee relations and performance management matters. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Requirements - For this US-based position, the base pay range is $52,025.00 - $97,528.69 per year. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - This job is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan at a target of 5.00%.
