• Act as the lead engineer on Product Engineering epics and stories. • Develop (“operationalize”) new repeatable Ensono public cloud services and solutions. • Define and evolve public cloud technical standards to ensure repeatability, supportability, scalability, and security. • Make recommendations on technical stack including research, assessments, bake-offs, and proofs of concepts. • Assess and onboard new AWS and GCP services in line with the Product roadmap. • Drive the deployment of automated infrastructure and systems using IAC, config management and scripting. • Provide subject matter expertise and advice to pre-sales architects on our technical standards. • Act as a final line of escalation and assistance for the cloud operations team for major problems. • Proactively keep up to date on public cloud services and related technology.

Job Requirements

  • 8+ years’ experience in supporting highly customer-focused mission critical environments (e.g., high profile web or enterprise infrastructure) essential.
  • 5+ years’ experience of architecting, engineering, or supporting public cloud solutions on AWS or GCP.
  • Sound knowledge of AWS or GCP best practice, security considerations, and architectural design patterns.
  • Experience of implementing and supporting public-cloud based workloads and services.
  • Hold multiple current AWS or Google Cloud Certifications (or be able to demonstrate equivalent level of knowledge).
  • Experience of building solutions using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Cloud formation).
  • Experience of config management systems (e.g., Ansible).
  • Excellent Linux O/S knowledge and experience (RHCE or equivalent level of knowledge).
  • Scripting ability in Python, Perl, or Bash.
  • Experience of using Git for version control.
  • Experience of the AWS or GCP CLI and scripting against it.
  • Experience of working with, designing, deploying, or supporting containerized environments (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes/Docker) is useful, but not essential.
  • Experience of Jenkins or other CI/CD pipeline technology useful.
  • Able to leverage AI tools to improve productivity and quality (e.g. Copilot/Claude/Kiro).
  • Good knowledge of TCP/IP.
  • A degree in a computing-related discipline preferred or equivalent ability and knowledge.
