Corporate Finance – Strategy Analyst

• Contribute to the development of medium-to long-term strategic initiatives through structured analysis, market research, and financial modelling to support key business decisions. • Identify opportunities to improve and automate financial workflows, reporting, and data tracking using analytical tools. • Perform in-depth analysis of key business drivers, including revenue, costs, and unit economics; support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting. • Support evaluation of strategic opportunities, including acquisitions, partnerships, and M&A, through market research, financial analysis, and execution support on an ad hoc basis. • Support end-to-end fundraising efforts, including building financial models, preparing investor materials (pitch decks, data rooms, updates), and responding to ad hoc investor requests and diligence queries.

Job Requirements

  • Highly analytical, with experience in financial modelling and preparing strategic or investor-facing materials (experience in venture capital, investment banking, or consulting is a plus).
  • Previous experience working in startups or fast-paced environments is strongly preferred.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; familiarity with CRM tools and leveraging AI/automation tools is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
  • Knowledge of digital assets and cryptocurrency is a plus, but not required.

• Oversee onboarding of new accounts (Equities, Fixed Income, Options, Structured Notes, etc.) into internal systems such as Orion, Salesforce, and Moxy. • Address new account processing requests from advisors and trading teams before enrollment into Mariner strategies. • Process closed accounts across multiple trading platforms, following direction from advisors and the investment team. • Set up securities across various platforms and resolve set up issues in Orion, including security classifications and characteristics. • Manage account restrictions both during onboarding and as recommended by advisors and investment leads. • Complete daily reconciliation of trading platforms (Moxy, Perform, FixFlyer). • Ensure timely trade settlement by collaborating with Investment teams, custodians, and brokers, and resolving any related issues. • Serve as a key contact and subject matter expert for investment and trading queries from wealth management teams. • Assist with monthly composite return calculations and quarterly fact sheet preparation. • Conduct regular quality control checks on trading platforms. • Organize and maintain investment-related documents in Box, including fact sheets, educational content, process documents, and manager ADVs. • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for operational processes.
