Public Policy Intern – Global Crypto & Payments
Circle
• Supporting Circle’s Global Policy team in advancing strategic government affairs initiatives by conducting research, tracking legislative and regulatory developments, and assisting with stakeholder engagement efforts • Conducting research on global digital asset regulations, financial services policy, and emerging government frameworks • Monitoring and summarizing legislative and regulatory developments across key jurisdictions • Assisting in preparing briefing materials, policy memos, and stakeholder presentations • Supporting engagement efforts with policymakers, trade associations, and industry coalitions • Collaborating with Legal, Compliance, and Product teams to analyze policy impact on Circle’s business • Contributing to internal policy trackers and maintaining organized documentation of regulatory updates
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, International Relations, Economics, Law, or related field
- Strong research, analytical, and written communication skills
- Ability to synthesize complex policy topics into clear, concise summaries
- Demonstrated interest in financial regulation, digital assets, fintech, or emerging technology policy
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with generative AI models (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) and prompt development
- Previous internship or coursework related to government affairs, regulatory policy, or financial services (preferred)
- Knowledge of blockchain, stablecoins, or cryptocurrency policy frameworks (preferred)
- Experience drafting policy memos, legislative summaries, or research briefs (preferred)
- Experience/familiarity with Slack, Apple MacOS and GSuite (preferred)

• Own Blitzed’s fraud and risk strategy across account security, payments, bonus abuse, and player behaviour. • Design and maintain risk rules: velocity checks, device/IP signals, geo rules, payment method controls, wagering/bonus triggers. • Monitor suspicious activity daily: multi-accounting, collusion, arbitrage, bonus abuse rings, payment fraud, stolen credentials. • Lead investigations and case management: evidence gathering, decisioning, documentation, and escalation paths. • Work closely with Payments/Finance on disputes and chargebacks (where relevant), including root-cause analysis and prevention. • Partner with Customer Support to create clear playbooks for flags, holds, verification, and comms templates. • Maintain brand safety and responsible gambling risk controls (flag harmful behaviour patterns; route to correct flows). • Liaise with vendors (KYC, fraud scoring, payment processors, wallet providers) and optimise configurations. • Produce weekly/monthly reporting: fraud loss rate, false positives, bonus abuse rate, chargeback/dispute rate, approval rate impact. • Build a risk ops cadence: dashboards, SLAs, shift coverage needs, incident response and post-mortems. • Continuously test and improve: tighten controls on abuse while maintaining strong onboarding and deposit conversion.
• Full accountability for fleet-wide uptime, performance metrics, and operating efficiency across all sites, supported by consistent field presence. • Ownership of in-house repair center performance, including throughput, turnaround time, parts utilization and cost optimization. • Establish structured escalation and crisis response protocols for major downtime events. • Design and implement KPI frameworks, productivity benchmarks, and standardized scorecards across operations, repair, and network teams, with regular executive-level reporting to senior leadership and the Board. • Lead a team of individuals including direct reports: VP, Operations, Head of Network, Repair Center Lead. • Build scalable SOPs across all sites. • Provide operational input into fleet expansion strategy. • Ownership of operational budget and cost structure across sites and repair operations. • Safety leadership and compliance oversight across mining sites. • Lifecycle management of mining hardware including configuration standards and firmware strategy. • Succession planning and development of site leadership bench.
• Administers and maintains the DAM platform, performing updates, configurations, and platform optimizations. • Troubleshoots user issues and partners with ITS Product teams for escalations and technical enhancements. • Oversees ongoing asset ingestion and organization, ensuring duplicates, non-compliant assets, and obsolete content are deprecated appropriately. • Manages user permissions, access controls, and asset security. • Maintains and enforces metadata, taxonomy, and controlled vocabulary standards to drive consistent asset structure. • Develops and leads DAM governance strategies aligned with enterprise content management objectives. • Conducts data quality checks to maintain metadata accuracy and consistency, identifying areas for improvement. • Reviews, evaluates, and validates AI-generated tags to ensure relevance and accuracy. • Designs and refines workflows for the end‑to‑end asset lifecycle, including ingestion, tagging, rights management, version control, delivery, expiration, and archiving. • Continuously monitors workflow efficiency and identifies opportunities to streamline processes and improve user experience. • Builds and maintains analytics dashboards and reporting to track asset usage, discoverability, creative reuse, and distribution trends. • Provides insights and recommendations that guide content strategy, marketing activation, and operational decision-making. • Creates training materials, documentation, and best‑practice guidance to support end users, creators, and partners. • Leads training sessions and onboarding for new users to ensure consistent and effective use of the DAM. • Communicates updates, governance guidelines, system enhancements, and workflow changes clearly and proactively. • Collaborates with cross-functional teams—including marketing, ITS, creative, and content production—to ensure the DAM continues to evolve with organizational needs. • Evaluates emerging technologies, integrations, and AI/ML enhancements that strengthen DAM capabilities. • Acts as a subject‑matter expert on how DAM supports personalization, omnichannel content strategy, and creative operations.
