Transition Executive Manager
General Dynamics
• Own your career as a Transition Executive Manager at GDIT • Maintain the operational integrity, security, and performance of Cloud infrastructure • Ensure high availability of systems, manage hardware and network components, and support business continuity through proactive monitoring and maintenance • Monitor and maintain data center systems, servers, storage, and network equipment • Install, configure, and decommission hardware and software • Manage rack layouts, cabling, power, and cooling systems • Perform system upgrades, patches, and backups • Ensure compliance with security, safety, and regulatory standards • Troubleshoot hardware, network, and environmental issues • Support disaster recovery and business continuity plans • Maintain documentation, inventory, and asset tracking • Coordinate with vendors, engineers, and IT teams • Monitor environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, power usage)
Job Requirements
- Education: BS in Computer Science
- Experience: 12+ years of managing cloud environments
- 5+ years of Coordinating with vendors, engineers, and IT teams
- Deep understanding in managing Cloud Environments including Azure and AWS
- Technical skills: Azure, AWS, Zero Trust
- Security clearance level: Public Trust
- Demonstrated experience as an (Azure Administrator/AWS SysOps Administrator)
