Job Description

Account Representative

Sonoco

• Coordinate all direct sales activities relative to existing/prospective accounts • Make regular contact with existing accounts and prospects • Prepare and maintain updated account plans • Provide marketing input for developing strategic plans • Monitor account plans for effectiveness • Establish and monitor a call plan for customers • Maintain detailed customer files • Develop and maintain territory sales funnel for prospective new business • Assist division marketing with trade shows and conventions • Submit expense reports and other reports on schedule

Job Requirements

  • 4-year undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of sales experience minimum
  • Proven record of sales prospecting and new business development
  • Proven ability to manage multiple sales development projects through a complex development process
  • Familiarity with the packaging industry, specifically Film Cores.
