Role Description The Analyst position provides analytics, reporting, forecasting, and tactical support to internal 2U teams across a variety of departments. This role is quantitative, data-driven, and stakeholder-facing, and plays a key supporting role to drive business outcomes and student outcomes in partnership with other 2U departments. A successful Analyst is a trusted contributor to the cross-departmental leadership teams for academic programs, projects, and departments they support. In addition to core analyst responsibilities, this role supports Degree/Exec Ed/Open Courses business functions. Analysts will focus on enhancing overall business health rather than solely course-level insights, supporting: - Forecasting - Funnel performance analysis - Strategic pricing - Communication strategies - Partner-specific priorities across the broader portfolio Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To: - Analysis: - Perform a variety of analyses to transform data into useful information. - Interpret KPIs, contextualize data with its limitations and business relevance, and synthesize data into coherent narratives. - Conduct drop-off analysis, vertical performance reviews, and regional trend tracking to support Degree/Exec Ed/Open Courses business health. - Reporting: - Build and maintain customized reports, visualizations, and dashboards to reveal key data and insights. - Collaborate with the Portfolio Team to centralize reporting for Degree/Exec Ed/Open Courses. - Support self-serve reporting capabilities to enable stakeholders to access and act on performance insights independently. - Relationship Management: - Work effectively with cross-functional teams across technical and non-technical departments. - Nurture stakeholder relationships to build trust and remain informed of key business context. - Actively collaborate with Enrollment Services, Partner Operations, Brand Marketing, and Email teams. - Operational Support: - Partner with departments to identify and implement operational improvements. - Use analysis and reporting to improve efficiency and effectiveness. - Support cross-sell, upsell, and cohort-level strategy initiatives in coordination with the Enrollments team. - Forecasting & Business Insights: - Conduct monthly and short-term forecasting using pacing curve models to anticipate performance and guide strategic adjustments. - Deliver full-year projections and provide business recommendations. - Align capacity planning and enrollment targets with operational and marketing teams to meet demand. - Communication of Results: - Effectively communicate analysis, reporting, and recommendations to stakeholders with diverse levels of technical knowledge. - Present persuasive recommendations for improvements in marketing, pricing, communication strategy, and course performance. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with a concentration in a quantitative or analytical field (e.g., Economics, Math, Information Systems, Political Science). - 0-2 years of relevant analytical experience in a professional setting. - Demonstrated skill in using data to identify trends, draw conclusions, and make recommendations. - Experience with Salesforce, Tableau, and SQL preferred. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to manage and prioritize across multiple workstreams. - Enthusiasm and adaptability in a fast-changing environment. - Experience in Higher Education is a plus, but not required.
