• Own and uphold how design and research work at Stack Overflow include the process, tooling, standards, and craft. • Own the user experience perspective on how technologists discover and interact with knowledge, and make the ux calls that shape where the product goes. • Maintain the highest standards of design craft and research quality across every product surface. • Evolve the team’s AI-first design practice as the technology changes, maintaining the pipeline from concept to working, production-ready code. • Own and run the team rituals that elevate quality and develop designers and researchers. • Coach designers and researchers in their career growth, developing both skill and leadership across the team. • Build a high-trust, feedback driven culture that gives people real autonomy and holds them accountable to their work. • Be a coauthor of our Sit at the table where product strategy is made and be a vocal advocate for our users and customers to ensure their needs are adequately represented. • Work alongside Product and Engineering leaders as part of the EPD leadership team, contributing to how we build software in an AI-first world. • Build and maintain research infrastructure that actually drives decisions, not just informs them.

• Drive, own, and be accountable for the end-to-end operational engine • Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership to drive strategy • Ensure clear ownership, handoffs, and quality standards at each stage • Identify where the process breaks down and drive improvements • Jira governance, roadmap alignment, sprint cadences, and the operating rhythms • Ensure the org has clear, actionable visibility into what matters • Coordinate across Product, Design, Engineering, and Product Marketing so dependencies are managed
• Own technical delivery across multiple deployments from first prototype to stable production. • Contribute to SOW development by documenting technical specifications, identifying dependencies and risks, and defining acceptance criteria that protect delivery timelines. • Build and validate integrations using our API, MCP server, and Knowledge Ingestion Engine, including connecting customer knowledge sources to AI-powered developer workflows. • Write and maintain automation scripts (Python or similar) to streamline deployment processes, data ingestion pipelines, and environment configuration. • Troubleshoot and resolve delivery challenges in collaboration with Customer Success, Product, and Support. • Document and scale delivery processes by creating reusable playbooks, runbooks, and automation that enable repeatable deployments across customers and partner resources. • Mentor and guide future engineers and partner resources, raising the overall standard of delivery excellence. • Influence service evolution by feeding client and delivery insights into the design of new offerings.
• Lead the technical win for new and expansion opportunities such as running discovery, designing solutions, and delivering demos that connect customer problems to measurable outcomes. • Run deep technical discovery that goes beyond requirements gathering. You’re uncovering the real pain (not just filling out a checklist) and sharing those insights with the AEs, SAMs, Value Engineering, and Professional Services so the whole team is working from the same picture. • Design and present solutions across our product portfolio, including authentication architectures, enterprise integrations, and end-to-end persona based AI/knowledge workflows. • Serve as the technical advisor to Account Executives (AEs) and Strategic Account Managers (SAMs) throughout deal cycles—RFPs, security reviews, procurement, executive presentations. • Partner with Professional Services on scoping and handoffs, ensuring what was sold is what gets delivered. • Coordinate with Forward Deployed Engineering on internal initiatives and customer implementation work, ensuring technical alignment between what the SE team designs in pre-sale and what FDE delivers in production. • Collaborate with CXS post-sale to identify underutilization, surface new use cases, and support renewal health. • Build and share what works: reusable demo environments, competitive intel, and enablement content for the broader go-to-market team.
