Principal Duties & Responsibilities - Provides strategic direction, researches, and negotiates contracts for venues, hotels, ground transportation, entertainment/speakers and gifting for events; manages and coordinate small to medium tiered events, conferences, and meetings; provide consultative and strategic guidance to assigned internal and external customers in the execution of meetings and events; implement planning techniques, methodologies and technologies to successful create experiences and events based on the direction of the customer - Facilitate communications between stakeholders, attendees, and vendors to ensure alignment, transparency, and coordination; effectively communicate and interact with all levels of management, in a highly professional manner; conduct post event debriefs, reviews, or evaluations to gather feedback and implement improvements; communicate and enforce policies to ensure legal, risk management and finance compliance - Oversees attendee management by aligning with internal sales compliance teams on attendee lists, assist with contest design from a travel perspective, and the execution of numerous meetings; manage programs on-site; serving as primary contact between client and all vendors - Plans, organizes, and executes multiple events concurrently without compromising quality - Assist team and management on special project assignments in support of department, division and enterprise initiatives to include major events - Ensure that all program procedures and activities are effectively developed, communicated to clients for approval, and executed within the required timeframe - Review and audit all program related billing for accuracy, reconcile payments to vendors, and track and report expenses to clients; ensures timely program delivery within budget; maintain accurate records, systems input and complete file management as outlined in department policies and procedures - Perform other duties as required Total Rewards The salary range for this job is $55,000 - $75,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting. At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate. In addition to the base salary, we offer an array of benefits to meet your needs including medical, dental, and vision coverage, prescription drug coverage, health care flexible spending, dependent care flexible spending, Aflac supplemental policies (Accident, Cancer, Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity offered at no costs to employee), 401(k) plans, annual bonuses, and an opportunity to purchase company stock.
