Job Description

Analyst, Global Agriculture Reinsurance

Skyward Specialty Insurance

• Provide analytical and operational support to Global Agriculture underwriting team • Support underwriters in technical analysis of treaty reinsurance submissions • Assist with pricing analyses and model input validation • Monitor and analyze commodities markets • Support daily execution and monitoring of options trading activity • Assist in valuation and risk assessment of hedging positions • Track CME Group futures and options markets • Review primary policy and reinsurance contract wording • Maintain submission logs and portfolio data • Prepare and distribute reports in partnership with accounting and finance • Respond to data requests from brokers and ceding company clients • Monitor agriculture reinsurance market data

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, agricultural economics, mathematics, statistics, risk management, actuarial science, or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in (re)insurance, financial analysis, data analysis, commodities trading, or a related field; strong internship experience considered
  • Familiarity with USDA federal crop insurance programs, particularly LRP and DRP
  • Understanding of coverage mechanics, expected prices, endorsement periods, and indemnity calculations
  • Exposure to or strong interest in options pricing fundamentals and commodity futures markets
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets
  • Experience with Bloomberg, CME Direct, or similar commodity market platforms is desirable
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, managing multiple priorities
