Insurance Follow-Up Representative

Southeast Orthopedic Specialists

• Review insurance denials to determine and take the next appropriate action steps to receive payment from the payor. • Appeal claims that have been denied for no auth, medical necessity, etc. • Verify receipt of claims with insurance plans to ensure timeliness of claims reimbursement. • Assume full responsibility for reducing the accounts receivable of insurance balances by working through outstanding accounts. • Communicating with payors through phone calls, emails, and payor portals. • Process and take action on any written correspondence from insurance payors. • Identify and trend reasons for claim denials. • Resolve claim discrepancies reported by patients and other clinical departments.

Job Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of two years of medical claims processing experience.
  • Must be able to read and understand the Explanation of Benefits and denial reasons.
  • Advanced computer knowledge, including Windows-based programs such as Word and Excel.
  • Experience working with Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Commercial insurance companies, and Workman's Compensation carriers.

Role Description Examine titles to determine legal condition of property title, primarily for residential properties. Copy or summarize recorded documents, which affect the condition of title to the property. The Title Examiner role gathers information and creates a commitment of title. - Works independently and uses experience to examine title to real property, ranging in complexity, to determine status and establish chain of title. Essential Functions - Performs title examination and examines the chain of title for a wide range of title orders, primarily residential. - Abstracts and analyzes records, such as mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, and plat and map books, to determine ownership and legal restrictions and to verify legal description of property and completeness of records. - Resolves most issues such as missing information, incomplete, inaccurate or contradictory information contained in the title documentation. - Prepares initial title commitment documentation based on the application of procedural guidelines. - Prepares and reviews reports for accuracy. - May provide underwriting interpretation within established guidelines.
