Finance Data & BI Technical Lead – Azure, Snowflake, Power BI

SGS

• Own the technical delivery and quality of Finance data & BI solutions • Lead the design and implementation of: Data pipelines, Data models and marts, Reporting and dashboards • Ensure alignment with data governance, architecture standards and best practices • Act as Tech Lead on Finance data initiatives (design, estimation, delivery oversight) • Collaborate closely with senior Finance stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable solutions • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to the delivery team • Contribute hands-on when needed (development, troubleshooting) • Drive Agile delivery and CI/CD practices (Azure DevOps / GitHub) • Continuously improve the Data & BI framework and ways of working

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Strong experience delivering end-to-end data solutions in Finance environments
  • Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
  • Hands-on mindset with leadership capability
  • Fluent English
  • 6+ years in data engineering / BI, including 3+ years in a Lead role
  • Strong experience with Azure data ecosystem (cloud + hybrid)
  • Deep expertise in: Snowflake, DBT, Azure Data Factory, Power BI (incl. DAX), SQL
  • Strong data modelling skills (dimensional modelling)
  • Solid Finance domain knowledge: Financial reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), Budgeting & forecasting, Cost allocation & profitability, KPI frameworks, Finance data governance & compliance
  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices
  • Ability to manage and coordinate internal and external delivery teams
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
