Senior Technical Project Manager – PMO

AST SpaceMobile

• Lead planning, governance, and execution of a portfolio of cross-functional technical programs • Establish portfolio-level visibility into program health, risks, dependencies, and milestones • Define and implement PMO frameworks, methodologies, and operating standards • Drive prioritization, sequencing, and trade-off decisions across multiple programs • Manage cross-program dependencies and coordinate resolution of risks across teams and stakeholders • Develop and maintain executive-level reporting, dashboards, and program narratives • Lead portfolio planning cycles, aligning resource capacity with program demand • Drive continuous improvement of program management processes, tools, and reporting practices • Mentor and develop program and project managers, establishing best practices across the PMO

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
  • 12+ years of experience in technical project, program, or portfolio management
  • 5+ years operating at a program or portfolio leadership level
  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-year initiatives across cross-functional teams
  • Experience building or leading a PMO or similar governance function
  • Demonstrated success managing large-scale, multi-stakeholder programs in dynamic environments
  • Familiarity with multi-vendor, multi-region delivery models
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and strategic thinking capabilities
