Senior Manager, International Indirect Tax

• Perform monthly and quarterly review of all non-U.S. indirect tax adjustments, including IOSS and OSS compliance filings. • Lead monthly review of Intrastat filings across applicable EU member states. • Review proposed monthly indirect tax journal entries and manage ERP approval of corresponding postings. • Analyze month-over-month balance sheet flux for each indirect tax account and provide a high-level comprehensive explanation of the identified variances. • Prepare monthly indirect tax movement KPI reports for VP review and presentation to Finance leaders during the month’s CFO review meeting. • Manage monthly and quarterly preparation of indirect tax reserves in accordance with applicable accounting standards. • Assist with the annual financial statement process, including reconciliations, journal entries, and support schedules. • Manage and support indirect tax audits, notices, IDRs, and controversy matters, including gathering documentation, performing reconciliations and analysis, coordinating responses, and maintaining audit trackers. • Maintain recordkeeping for indirect tax filings, indirect tax notices and audit documentation. • Monitor indirect tax legislation changes relevant to StockX, research the impact, and help drive implementation of necessary changes. • Evaluate the indirect tax implications of new international business initiatives, lead or support cross-functional implementation of process enhancements in partnership with Finance, Legal, Product, and Operations departments, and develop scalable, audit-ready compliance frameworks. • Assist with registrations, annual compliance requirements, special projects, and ad hoc requests from business partners and external advisors. • Coach, mentor, and develop tax professionals at all levels by providing regular feedback, supporting career growth, building succession plans, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in international indirect tax, including VAT/GST/JCT compliance and advisory work across multiple jurisdictions.
- Expertise in EU VAT, including IOSS, OSS, Intrastat, and fiscal representation frameworks
- Experience with tax account reconciliations, workpapers, and month-end or quarter-end close support
- Proven ability to translate complex indirect tax concepts into clear, actionable guidance for cross-functional business partners and senior leadership.
- Experience managing multiple compliance workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong analytical research, communication, and project management skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Google Sheets, and Databricks or similar platforms
- Industry experience in e-commerce, marketplace platforms, or digital goods
- Experience preparing supporting workpapers, maintaining tax records, and coordinating compliance tasks with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to research indirect tax issues and apply findings to business operations and compliance requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Experience working with large data sets and transaction-level information in Excel.
