Mobile UX/UI Designer

Role Description NearSource is seeking a Mobile UX/UI Designer (AI-Powered Product Experience) to support the evolution of a mobile platform used across multiple product areas. This role is responsible for delivering user-centered mobile experiences, scaling design systems, and supporting the development of AI-powered capabilities. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and design teams to drive high-quality design execution across the mobile ecosystem. Key Responsibilities - Product & Feature Design - Design and deliver mobile product features aligned with product roadmap objectives. - Translate business and user requirements into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs. - Produce detailed design specifications to support engineering implementation. - Drive continuous enhancement of onboarding, navigation, workflows, and integrated product experiences. - Support design validation, usability improvements, and iterative feature refinement. - AI-Powered Experiences - Execute design initiatives supporting mobile AI assistant capabilities, including chat, voice, and vision-based experiences. - Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to integrate AI-driven workflows across the platform. - Contribute to interaction patterns, design frameworks, and usability standards for intelligent product experiences. - Design System & Component Architecture - Maintain and evolve scalable mobile design systems and component libraries. - Develop and refine reusable UI components, patterns, and page-level structures. - Ensure consistency, accessibility, and scalability across mobile products. - Identify and address design system gaps to improve efficiency and maintainability. - User Experience Optimization - Conduct UX audits to identify usability issues and improvement opportunities. - Reduce friction across mobile workflows and critical user journeys. - Improve discoverability, navigation, search, and notification experiences. - Drive consistency across product interactions and user touchpoints. - Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and designers throughout the product lifecycle. - Participate in design reviews, feedback sessions, and cross-functional planning activities. - Contribute to organization-wide design standards and best practices. - Support alignment across multiple product teams and initiatives. - Additional Responsibilities - Support ongoing redesign and modernization efforts across the mobile application. - Improve mobile-specific workflows and operational efficiency. - Help align user experiences across issues, forms, documents, photos, and related product areas. - Ensure design quality and consistency across parallel workstreams. Qualifications - 4+ years of experience in mobile UI/UX design. - Strong experience designing end-to-end mobile product experiences. - Proven ability to own feature design from concept through delivery. - Expertise in creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs. - Experience working with design systems and scalable component libraries. - Proficiency with Figma and other modern design tools. - Strong understanding of mobile-first design principles and interaction patterns. - Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, product, and design teams. - Familiarity with front-end development concepts and agentic tooling. - Ability to contribute beyond design and support implementation efforts when needed. - Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Nice-to-Have Skills - Experience designing AI-powered or intelligent user interfaces. - Familiarity with conversational, voice-based, and multimodal user experiences. - Knowledge of iOS Human Interface Guidelines and Android Material Design principles. - Experience working on enterprise software or SaaS platforms. - Exposure to complex workflow-driven mobile applications. - Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
