What you'll be responsible for As Business Development Director, USYC, you will own the growth and adoption strategy for USYC, Circle's tokenized money market fund. You will identify, structure, negotiate, and launch strategic partnerships that expand USYC's utility across institutional and crypto-native markets. Working cross-functionally with Product, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, and senior business leaders, you will serve as the primary commercial advocate for USYC, helping shape product strategy, unlock new distribution channels, and accelerate adoption among exchanges, custodians, prime brokers, institutional traders, and other ecosystem participants. This role requires deep market expertise, strong commercial judgment, and the ability to navigate complex financial products and stakeholder environments to drive meaningful business impact. What you'll work on - Develop and execute the business development strategy to accelerate USYC adoption across institutional and digital asset ecosystems. - Source, negotiate, and close strategic partnerships that establish USYC as collateral, margin, and settlement infrastructure across leading exchanges and trading venues. - Expand USYC distribution through partnerships with custodians, prime brokers, asset managers, fintechs, and other institutional market participants. - Structure and launch innovative yield, treasury, and earn-product integrations that increase utility and adoption of USYC. - Partner closely with Product, Legal, Compliance, and Operations teams to support technical, regulatory, and commercial implementation of strategic initiatives. - Represent the voice of customers and partners internally, influencing product roadmap priorities, market expansion opportunities, and go-to-market strategies. - Build and maintain executive-level relationships across the digital asset and traditional financial services ecosystem while managing a high-quality pipeline from origination through execution. What you'll bring to Circle Core Requirements - 12+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, capital markets, or institutional sales within financial services, fintech, or digital assets. - Proven track record sourcing, negotiating, and closing complex strategic partnerships that drive measurable business growth. - Deep understanding of institutional trading workflows, including collateral management, margin frameworks, prime brokerage, and derivatives markets. - Experience working with exchanges, custodians, brokers, market makers, asset managers, or other institutional financial market participants. - Strong commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills with the ability to evaluate opportunities and structure mutually beneficial partnerships. - Demonstrated ability to operate independently and drive outcomes in highly ambiguous and rapidly evolving markets. - Experience collaborating across Product, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Operations teams to deliver complex initiatives. - Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence internal and external decision-makers. - Strong understanding of digital assets, blockchain infrastructure, and the evolving institutional adoption landscape. Preferred Requirements - Experience working with tokenized assets, tokenized money market funds, stablecoins, or on-chain financial products. - Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks governing digital assets and institutional financial products. - Existing relationships across leading crypto exchanges, custodians, prime brokers, trading firms, and institutional investors. - Experience launching new products, markets, or distribution channels in high-growth environments.
