Manager, Business Support & Control
Mashreq
• To manage all non-execution activities within Asset Management with an aim to ensure smooth processes; • Assume responsibility for all non-revenue specific issues in Asset Management; • Centralized handling of all regulatory matters for Asset Management with DFSA, SCA and others as required; • Managing / operating all activities with business counterparties such as Administrators, Custodians, Registrars, Trustees, Auditors, Tax representatives, Lawyers and Brokers in MENA and other jurisdictions for Asset Management; • Dividend Payouts on time; • Ensure business adheres to SOPs & guidelines and promptly resolve any audit concern. • Coordinate all regulatory activities for Mashreq Capital in collaboration with the relevant compliance departments; • Constant monitoring via the BSC activity sheet and calendar; • Re-engineering of existing processes in the Asset Management units to establish best practices that are risk averse and business friendly to improve efficiency and effectiveness in work-flows; • Managing all processes with internal departments at Mashreq for timely processing of all business requirements; • Weekly and monthly client reporting for Asset Management; • Coordinate with multiple exchanges/counterparties to enlist new/existing funds on different stock exchanges, setup new funds and liquidation of funds; • Coordinate with counterparties for the opening/closure of broker & custody accounts; • Managing the outsourced Asset Management middle & back office vendor; • On-boarding processes for all Service Providers; • External & internal audit support; • Creating and managing frameworks, business plan, policies, SOP’s, SLA’s, and KPI’s for Asset management; • Performing the RCSA testing for Asset Management; • Annual renewal of fund prospectus; • Performing OPS, function in AIM; • Creating and managing the Business continuity plan and testing; • Manage all Corporate governance related activities and matters;
Job Requirements
- Graduate with 10+ years of banking experience or equivalent preferably in Asset Management;
- Good understanding of local & international regulations;
- Computer literate and good command over spoken and written English.
- Good Analytical as well as inter personal and communication skills.
- Good understanding of banking & asset management business including process, procedures and products;
- Attention to detail & quality and committed to results;
- Strong planning and organizing skills;
- Good understanding of operational risk management and cooperate governance frameworks.
