Territory Sales Manager
InnerPlant
• Execute the go-to-market strategy and achieve sales targets in territory • Fully onboard retail customers, train crop advisors and sales agronomists to use our data insights platform effectively, and ensure they are motivated to push grower adoption • Collaborate with retail customers to execute sales efforts and enroll growers in InnerPlant’s data insights • Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns and promotional activities, including hosting grower meetings and technology demonstrations in the field • Provide ongoing support and engagement with retail customers and growers to ensure they understand and benefit from our technology, including field visits • Maintain a timely account of field activities, including maintenance of customer relationship management software • Participate in virtual meetings and coordinate with colleagues based in California, leveraging remote work/collaboration tools and technologies. • Gather feedback from users to inform continuous improvement of our products and services • Support agronomic field operations as needed, including deployment of seed and hardware installations
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Business, or a related field
- Experience in agronomy, sales, customer success, or related fields is welcomed but not required.
- Desire to grow and succeed in a customer-facing role in the agriculture industry
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to meet or exceed sales targets and quotas
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage outreach/touchpoints and track progress towards sales targets
- Passionate about agriculture and technology
- Enthusiasm for working with a dynamic startup where goals and resources may shift frequently
- Willingness to travel often within assigned regional territory
- Valid driver license
