Job Description

Implementation Engineer

LAHZO

• Own client onboarding end to end. • Take new clients from signed contract to live AI agent, managing the full technical implementation lifecycle with clear timelines and accountability. • Integrate client systems. • Connect CRMs, lead sources, inventory feeds, websites, and third-party platforms to Lahzo's infrastructure — including legacy systems with incomplete or inconsistent data. • Configure and tune AI agents. • Set up each client's AI agent with accurate business context, communication style, product knowledge, and behavioral parameters. • Understand how prompt and configuration changes affect downstream AI behavior before they reach production. • Translate business needs into technical setup. • Work directly with account managers and clients to understand their business, and turn that understanding into agent configurations that perform. • Debug across layers. • When something isn't working, you trace it through the full stack — integration, data, prompt, and agent behavior — until it's resolved. • Reduce onboarding time. • Identify patterns across implementations and work with the team to standardize, document, and accelerate the onboarding process over time. • Document what you build.

Job Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with API integrations and third-party system connectivity, particularly with messy or legacy data sources
  • Solid foundation in TypeScript, Python, or equivalent backend languages — enough to build, debug, and modify integrations independently
  • Working familiarity with AI systems and LLM behavior — you understand how context and prompts shape agent output, and you can configure AI agents thoughtfully without needing to build them from scratch
  • Strong project management instincts — you can own a timeline, surface blockers early, and keep technical and non-technical stakeholders aligned
  • Clear communicator who can translate technical requirements into plain language for clients and account managers, and translate client feedback back into precise technical configuration
  • Experience with databases — SQL on BigQuery, MongoDB, Redis or similar
  • Comfortable in fast-paced startup environments where scope is wide and processes are still being built
  • Low ego, high ownership — you don't wait to be told what to do, and you follow a problem through until it's actually solved

Benefits

  • vision
  • dental
  • unlimited PTO
  • 401k
  • collaborative, growth-focused, high-trust, high-performance environment where your ideas matter

• As an Implementation Manager, you will lead end-to-end client implementations, owning both the client experience and the technical delivery of our cloud-based payment and digital disbursement solutions. • You will operate at the intersection of client engagement, technical configuration, and operational execution, guiding clients through onboarding, translating business requirements into system configurations, and ensuring successful deployment of APIs, webhooks, funding models, and bank integrations. • You will serve as the central point of coordination across clients, Product, Engineering, and Operations, ensuring implementations are delivered efficiently, accurately, and with a high-quality client experience. • Success in this role means clients are onboarded with minimal friction and a clear understanding of platform capabilities, implementations are delivered on time with accurate configurations and successful testing, and clients are set up for long-term success with scalable payment workflows. • You will also ensure internal teams have clear visibility into progress, risks, and next steps throughout the implementation lifecycle. • This role is critical to ensuring our cloud-based payment and digital disbursement solution is implemented in a way that is technically sound, operationally scalable, and client-friendly, directly impacting client satisfaction, time-to-live, and long-term platform adoption. • Own end-to-end client implementations, leading projects from kickoff through successful go-live and post-launch transition. • Facilitate discovery workshops to assess client payment workflows, business processes, technical requirements, and success criteria. • Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, providing expert guidance on platform capabilities, implementation strategy, and industry best practices. • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key client stakeholders, driving alignment, proactive communication, and confidence throughout the implementation lifecycle. • Translate client business requirements into scalable system configurations across cloud-based payment and digital solutions. • Configure and manage platform components, including account structures, funding models, API settings, webhooks, and payment processing workflows. • Design, coordinate, and support file-based and API-driven integrations between client systems and platform services. • Oversee configuration deployment and validation across testing, staging, and production environments to ensure successful implementation outcomes. • Partner with banking, payment, and technical stakeholders to support network connectivity, certification processes, and onboarding requirements. • Conduct end-to-end testing and configuration validation to ensure solution accuracy, performance, and compliance with client requirements. • Diagnose and resolve implementation issues related to integrations, transaction processing, data flows, and platform configuration logic. • Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to identify root causes, implement solutions, and drive successful project delivery. • Develop and manage implementation plans, including project milestones, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria. • Lead client and internal status meetings to drive alignment, accountability, and project progress. • Identify and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and blockers, escalating issues as needed. • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, Client Experience, and Operations to ensure successful delivery. • Track project activities and go-live readiness to ensure implementations are completed on time and within scope. • Lead end-to-end user acceptance testing (UAT), validating payment workflows, funding processes, integrations, and webhook/event delivery. • Verify successful transaction processing across multiple payment rails, including ACH, card, RTP, and other supported payment methods. • Ensure all system configurations, integrations, and operational processes are tested, validated, and production-ready. • Coordinate go-live activities, driving a seamless launch and successful transition to support and operations teams. • Develop and maintain implementation documentation, solution designs, and workflow diagrams to support successful client onboarding and adoption. • Create clear, user-friendly training materials and client guides that simplify complex technical and operational processes. • Deliver client training and enablement sessions, educating users on platform functionality, payment operations, reconciliation processes, and best practices.

• Own customer issues end-to-end — from first contact through root cause and resolution — across the product areas above. • Debug failures across integrations, APIs, agents, scanners, pipeline configurations, and runtime environments. • Use observability tooling (Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, CloudWatch, or similar) to trace failures and identify root causes. • Reproduce bugs with clean, minimal reproduction steps and drive resolution in partnership with Engineering. • Participate in incident triage during escalations — help coordinate, communicate clearly, and deliver precise technical findings. Ownership of escalations grows as you build experience in the role. • Get on calls with customers to troubleshoot live — running screenshares, walking through logs, and driving toward resolution rather than deferring to async back-and-forth. • Communicate clearly with both hands-on engineers and managers who need the summary version. • Set honest expectations when issues are complex or slow-moving — customers should never be left wondering what is happening or who owns it. • Support customers through onboarding and implementation, sharing best practices and helping them reach a stable, working configuration. • Escalate issues to Engineering and Product with enough context to act immediately — reproduction steps, environment details, logs, and your own read on likely root cause. • Surface patterns across customer issues to influence roadmap, prioritise fixes, and advocate for usability improvements. • Maintain runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and playbooks so hard-won knowledge stays in the team. • When patterns emerge across customer issues, write scripts or automation to address them — reducing manual effort for yourself and the team. • Use AI tools to accelerate diagnostics, draft documentation, or build lightweight utilities that make the team faster.

Role Description This is an individual contributor role for an experienced ERP professional who knows their way around NetSuite and wants to put that expertise to work across a portfolio of high-growth US startups. You'll own end-to-end implementations, support monthly close, manage integrations, and translate complex system decisions into plain language for founders and finance teams who didn't grow up in an ERP. Success in the first six to twelve months looks like implementations delivered on time, clients who trust your judgment, and a finance stack that actually reflects how the business runs. What You'll Do - Own end-to-end ERP implementations for Burkland clients, including chart of accounts design, module configuration, workflow automation, and user acceptance testing. - Evaluate existing ERP environments and identify gaps, inefficiencies, or misconfigurations — then recommend and execute improvements. - Support the monthly close process within client ERP systems, including journal entries, reconciliations, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and financial reporting. - Manage data migrations from legacy systems (QuickBooks, Xero, spreadsheets) into modern ERP platforms. - Oversee third-party integrations with tools like Stripe, Brex, Ramp, and Salesforce using native automation or iPaaS solutions. - Deliver training sessions and create user documentation; proactively surface system improvements as clients grow. - Stay current on platform releases, best practices, and the evolving startup finance tech stack. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. - 3–5+ years of ERP implementation or administration experience, with hands-on exposure to full-cycle implementations (not just end-user). - Strong foundation in GAAP accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting. - Hands-on experience with NetSuite and/or Rillet; familiarity with other modern ERP or accounting platforms is a plus. - Experience with core ERP modules: GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, Multi-Book Accounting, and/or Advanced Revenue Management. - Comfortable managing multiple client engagements simultaneously in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment. - Strong written and verbal communication skills — able to translate technical system decisions for non-technical stakeholders. Nice to Have - ERP Administrator or Consultant certification (NetSuite, Rillet, or equivalent). - Experience with workflow automation, scripting, or integration tooling native to your platform. - Familiarity with SaaS billing, payroll, CRM, or expense tool integrations. - CMA designation. Why This Role Our client's clients are some of the most funded startups in the US — and this role puts you at the centre of how they build their financial infrastructure. If you want meaningful ERP work, variety across industries, and the opportunity to be the expert in the room, this is it. This role is open to Philippine citizens currently based in the Philippines.
