Role Description The Planning Manager will lead/manage the Sales & Operations Planning process for specified components sourced from Manufacturing Plants. You will be responsible for overall forecasting customer demand, inventory management, and determining time phased production/purchasing requirements. Additionally, you'll be responsible for managing the supply side, which includes leading build meetings and managing the Master Planner team, which are located at the specific plants, and the Demand Planner. This includes developing the correct toolset and collaborating cross functionally to ensure the successful execution. Conduct and/or facilitate data analysis to identify issues, gaps, trends, etc. Recommend and implement solutions. - Develops and/or supports the development of all related Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Updates SOPs as required. - Oversee the item creation, setup, and maintenance process, including standard items, engineering required items, and SSQ items. - Foster and embrace a Continuous improvement culture by effective use of LEAN Continuous Improvement tools to improve any production and/or administrative processes while reducing Nonvalue added activities and eliminating waste.
