The Groove
• Serve as a trusted advisor to client executives and stakeholders, helping define Workday Extend roadmaps that align with long-term business objectives • Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of complex Workday Extend solutions, providing hands-on guidance throughout the project lifecycle • Help establish and evolve architectural standards and best practices for Workday Extend applications and integrations, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and quality across engagements • Contribute to the development of The Groove's best practices, reusable assets, frameworks, and delivery methodology for Workday Extend solutions • Design solutions utilizing Workday Extend, Workday Orchestrate, Workday APIs, Workday Studio, EIBs, and Workday web services • Own escalated client issues and complex technical challenges, leveraging deep expertise to resolve issues and maintain strong client relationships • Lead solution design sessions, technical workshops, training programs, and strategic discussions focused on Workday Extend capabilities • Serve as a senior technical resource during client demonstrations, proposals, scoping efforts, and solution architecture discussions • Monitor the Workday product roadmap and emerging capabilities, translating new functionality into actionable recommendations for clients and internal teams • Develop reusable assets, accelerators, and frameworks that improve delivery quality and implementation efficiency • Mentor and provide technical guidance to consultants supporting Extend engagements, helping elevate overall team capability through coaching and knowledge sharing • Represent The Groove as a Workday Extend subject matter expert through client advisory sessions, webinars, industry events, and speaking opportunities
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years of enterprise application implementation, development, and integration experience, including significant experience with Workday technologies and Workday Extend
- Proven experience architecting and delivering complex Workday Extend solutions and enterprise integrations from strategy through execution
- Deep expertise in application development, APIs, integration architecture, and cloud technologies
- Experience with JavaScript, Java, Python, or similar programming languages preferred
- Strong understanding of Workday Extend, Workday Orchestrate, Workday Studio, Workday APIs, EIBs, and web services
- Demonstrated success serving as a strategic advisor to clients and business stakeholders
- Experience supporting pre-sales efforts, including solution strategy, proposal development, scoping, and client presentations
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical thinking, and architectural design skills
- Strong communication and consulting skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-focused recommendations
- Experience mentoring consultants or technical teams in a delivery environment
- Workday Extend certification strongly preferred
