Regional Sales Manager

**Job Summary:** The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) represents the business by managing relationships, expectations and new business opportunities with existing clientele as well as establishing leads and opportunities for Cam Tran in strategic growth initiatives that the company has developed. The RSM owns the forecast vs. actual release patterns and the conversations and measures that these numbers create. The position provides timely market intelligence and monitors the markets for threats and opportunities that may affect the company’s outlook and performance, including competitive intelligence and technology trends. **Position Tasks:** ***Strategic Territory Management*** - Pursues and champions strategic business development initiatives. - Maintain a sales focus weighted approximately 80% toward account development and retention and 20% toward new business acquisition. - Place a strong emphasis on account management, including customer retention, relationship growth, and identification of expansion opportunities. - Demonstrate strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop and execute sales strategies that maximize customer value and business outcomes. - Identify and pursue upselling opportunities within existing accounts while developing new business opportunities to support territory growth objectives. ***Relationship Management*** - Ensure that the customers are contacted on a regular sales calendar with specific goals for each interaction. - Leverage the agent network to support sales growth and expand market presence within the assigned territory. - Establish trust with your accounts key individuals by ensuring that their needs are met under our contractual obligations. - Ensure that you utilize key Cam Tran personnel when required to bolster and strengthen your relationships within your account portfolio including technical and business personnel. - Communicate any information that will affect the account in a timely and professional manner. ***Territory*** - Canada East - Ontario, Quebec, Atlantic Provinces ***Account Management*** - Own key metrics and communicate in a timely and specific manner with the key individuals in the account (such as quality performance, buying patterns, actual vs. planned forecasts etc.) - Manage account expectations of Cam Tran in relation to the contract and ensure that any changes that are required are communicated to the sales management team. - Serve as the company liaison to resolve customer issues as they arise. Establish the account profile to include economic buyers, influencers and technical buyers. - Establish forecasts and strategies for the account and communicate to the sales management team. - Gather information on any upcoming trend opportunities within the accounts. ***Opportunity Management*** - Establish leads for new strategic growth initiatives as directed within the company. - Manage leads through the sales funnels in a timely manner to close new business at the required growth rates. - Strategically seek out new markets and drive innovation internally. ***Market Intelligence*** - Establish a network of industry specialists, clients and influencers to stay abreast of the market conditions. - Gather and document key threats and opportunities that may exist in the macro and micro business environments.
Job Requirements
- Post-secondary education and related experience in Business Administration.
- Customer Service experience and/or training will be an asset with a minimum of 10 years’ Administrative Experience.
- Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written) required. **
- Key Account Management within the Utility Industry is an asset.
- Experience working with agents is an asset.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel is a prerequisite.
- Contract and or project management experience.
- Experience using an ERP or MRP system is an asset.
- Transformer manufacturing experience an asset.

Role Description The Strategy & Operations (S&O) team at Consensus is the high-impact team that drives Global Sales Strategy, Analytics, Reporting, Tech Stack management, and Sales Training for the company. This role, sitting within that S&O umbrella, will lead Sales Training & Enablement for all of Consensus. This role is a people-manager position, overseeing direct-reports ranging from Analysts, Associates, and more junior Managers.
