Product Management Engineer
VIAVI Solutions
• Identify new business opportunities in application performance and network security testing; develop and present business cases • Define and maintain a differentiated product roadmap aligned to VIAVI’s CyberFlood product strategy, market trends, and customer priorities • Serve as VIAVI’s eyes and ears in the market—meeting with customers worldwide to present solutions • Drive the full product lifecycle from conception and requirements definition through engineering collaboration, solution launch, sales enablement, and end-of-life planning • Collaborate with corporate marketing to develop and execute go-to-market strategies
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited institution required
- 5–8 years of combined experience in product management, product line management, or solution architecture; minimum 2 years focused on network security, cloud networking, or application performance testing
- Solid understanding of network security architectures including SASE, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), and cloud-native security functions (CNFs/VNFs)
- Familiarity with application performance testing concepts: traffic generation, protocol simulation, latency/throughput analysis, and real-world application emulation
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; able to communicate credibly with C-suite executives and hands-on engineers alike.
- Highly collaborative with the ability to guide and lead cross-functional teams directly and through influence
