Manage complex Linux systems, support research computing clusters, automate high-performance computing solutions, and provide technical consulting to enhance research capabilities for faculty and staff in a collaborative environment.

• Administer, maintain, and monitor Linux-based servers and infrastructure. • Install, configure, and manage Apache Tomcat application servers. • Support application deployments, upgrades, patches, and release management activities. • Troubleshoot and resolve system, application, and infrastructure issues. • Monitor system performance, availability, and security compliance. • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure successful application deployments. • Manage system backups, disaster recovery procedures, and server maintenance. • Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and system configurations. • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring issues. • Participate in after-hours deployments and support activities as needed.

Role Description Dynamic Solutions Technology, LLC (DST) is seeking a full-time Systems Administrator to provide support to a Federal Government customer in the Allenwood, PA location. This is an exempt remote role. - Manage Information Technology infrastructure systems operating in a Microsoft Windows environment. - Responsible for account management, troubleshooting workstations and servers in both virtual and physical environments, installing hardware and software, configuring operating systems, performing patch and vulnerability management, and configuring or troubleshooting workstation peripherals. - Travel to remote locations is required. - Make independent judgment and sound decisions when providing IT systems support, collaboration, and guidance to users and support personnel. - Provide technical direction and training for support personnel performing technical operations within the assigned area of responsibility. - Execute policies and standards, as they relate to IT systems and network security and protocols. - Provide comprehensive solutions for managing desktops, workstations, servers, and printers. - Evaluate, install, configure, upgrade, and back-up hardware and software. - Assist with configuring and assigning file shares and linking servers to database systems. - May assist with management of remote client access. Qualifications - 5 years minimum relative experience performing System Administrator activities. - Demonstrated experience of various COTS software/hardware, and network products; Windows OS, MS Office, etc. - Be able to exercise a high degree of discretion when evaluating client's operating systems, hardware configuration, firewalls, security, and network infrastructure. - Demonstrate a wide degree of creativity and latitude as expected. Requirements - Bachelors of Science degree in Information Technology or related field; relevant and equivalent experience may be substituted for degree requirement. - At a minimum of one of the following certifications: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) certification.
