Job Description AECOM is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Townsville, QLD. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent or soon-to-be graduate to develop their technical skills while working on mining and industrial projects alongside experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams. You will contribute to the design and delivery of civil infrastructure solutions, including haul roads, pavement design, earthworks, drainage systems, and culvert design, while gaining exposure to a diverse range of projects and clients. How you'll make a difference: - Assist in the design and delivery of civil engineering projects under the guidance of experienced engineers - Support the preparation of technical designs, calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications - Contribute to the design of haul roads, pavements, earthworks, drainage systems, and other civil infrastructure components - Participate in project planning and coordination activities, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful project outcomes - Apply engineering principles and industry standards to develop practical and sustainable solutions - Assist with site inspections, data collection, and construction support activities as required - Develop an understanding of project scope, schedules, budgets, and quality requirements This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects, gain hands-on industry experience, and build a strong foundation for a successful engineering career. Qualifications - Graduate Attributes: We're seeking graduates with strong communication and teamwork skills, a proactive and adaptable mindset, and a commitment to professionalism and integrity. - Bachelor's Degree: You must be in your final year or completed a Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in Civil Engineering with structural electives. - A genuine interest in living and working in Townsville and building a long-term career in North Queensland. - Graduate Year: You must have completed your studies and have graduated before starting the program. - Commencement: You must be able to commence work by February 2027.
