• Define and guide product strategy for Akamai's compute offerings. • Connect technical hardware layers with developer experiences, ensuring compute instances provide exceptional value compared to traditional cloud providers. • Oversee the compute lifecycle, including hardware assessments and features within the cloud platform's virtualization layer. • Gather, document, and communicate business and technical requirements. • Define and execute the product strategy, roadmap and deliver against the product plan. • Foster connections with cross-functional teams, such as sales and marketing, to promote products and gather feedback for ongoing success. • Analyze operational metrics and trends to manage and maximize product KPIs, revenue and profitability, building business cases and margin analysis. • Become the trusted expert in alternative cloud infrastructure trends, bare-metal innovations, and the comparative market landscape. • Synthesize feedback and prioritize development.
Job Requirements
- 12 years of experience with product management or product development within cloud, virtualization, server infrastructure, or its equivalent.
- Demonstrate technical expertise in virtualization concepts, multi-tenant cloud architectures, hypervisors, and CPU/IO hardware architectures.
- Demonstrate an ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence hardware engineering, and software development stakeholders.
- Have familiarity with infrastructure-as-code ecosystems, cloud capacity lifecycle management, and Linux systems architecture.
- Demonstrate an outstanding ability to understand, define, and communicate the business and technical value of deeply technical cloud primitives.
- Possess deep relationship-building skills and experience collaborating with customers and technology partners.
