Product Compliance Lead

Role Description As the Product Compliance Lead, you will lead global compliance efforts across Teton Outfitters’ portfolio, ensuring apparel and select hard goods meet applicable regulatory, safety, and ethical standards throughout the product lifecycle. You will partner with cross-functional teams and external vendors to embed compliance requirements early in development and maintain defensible documentation across global markets. This role is responsible for building and improving scalable compliance programs while monitoring evolving regulations and translating their impact into actionable guidance. You will play a central role in enabling compliant product commercialization while balancing risk and business needs. This is a compelling opportunity to influence global product strategy and compliance operations across a multi-brand portfolio. Key Responsibilities - Monitor, interpret, and communicate evolving regulatory requirements across domestic and international markets for apparel, footwear, accessories, and select hard goods. - Ensure products comply with applicable laws and standards, including CPSIA, Prop 65, TSCA, PFAS-related requirements, EPR, GPSR, CE, CPC, GCC, and other relevant regulations. - Build, implement, and maintain scalable compliance programs, policies, procedures, and internal controls. - Partner with Product Development, Sourcing, Production, Materials, Quality, Logistics, Legal, and enterprise compliance teams to embed compliance into the product lifecycle. - Review and approve testing reports, certifications, technical files, and vendor documentation to ensure compliance and maintain defensible records. - Lead supply chain transparency and traceability initiatives, supporting regulatory submissions, customs requirements, and digital compliance obligations. - Support readiness and execution for emerging regulations, including digital product passport and traceability requirements. - Review social compliance audit results and partner with vendors and manufacturers on corrective action plans. - Manage e-filing processes and vendor submissions in coordination with cross-functional teams. - Maintain audit-ready documentation for certifications, testing, filings, and compliance records. - Serve as a primary point of contact and provide training on compliance requirements to internal teams and external partners. - Drive process improvements through scalable tools, workflows, and disciplined documentation practices. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree required. - Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in apparel, consumer products, durable goods, or a related industry. - Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in product compliance. - Experience supporting product compliance across global supply chains, including supplier documentation, testing, certifications, and regulatory recordkeeping. - Familiarity with product safety, chemical and restricted substances requirements, social compliance, and customs/trade documentation. - Experience working cross-functionally with Product Development, Sourcing, Production, Quality, Logistics, Legal, and compliance teams. - Strong documentation discipline and ability to manage detailed compliance records and data. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools. - Preferred experience with apparel or soft goods compliance and/or adjacent consumer product categories. - Understanding of supply chain traceability requirements across multiple supplier tiers preferred. - Position can be based in Rigby, ID or remote. - Ability to travel approximately 10%. - This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
