Field Service Technician

• Install panoramic X-ray and cone-beam equipment, along with the related computers. • Calibrate the equipment to ensure high-quality images and optimum performance. • Test and remove existing equipment for either purchase for recertification or disposal. • Grow the knowledge of our Trusted Dental Technicians through co-travel certifications and manage 3rd party helpers by assigning and monitoring tasks. • Conduct performance tests on purchased equipment to ensure proper quality and condition. • Maintain tools and test equipment properly. • Deliver on-site or remote technical support for computers and dental imaging equipment. • Create and maintain necessary technical documentation and procedures. • Complete required internal, regulatory documentation, and expense reports on time. • Install, troubleshooting, and configuration of digital systems controlled by 1-2 computer systems connected via ethernet and wireless methods. • Present training to small groups of doctors and dental staff on basic equipment, hardware operations and software training. • Maintain regular communications with customers and team members to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction. • Meet health and human services, environmental health and safety and/or other applicable regulatory requirements. • Utilize the escalation process to resolve customer service issues and conduct effective root cause analysis that will lead to effective problem solving. • Work as a member of the team to provide efficient and cost-effective service delivery to all assigned customers. • Assume added responsibilities as asked.
Job Requirements
- DENTAL XRAY / XRAY Install experience a must!
- Experience with installation or service with a minimum of one of the leading market manufacturers of CBCT such as Sirona, Dexis, Instrumentarium, Planmeca, Carestream, Vatech, Axion, and Ray brand.
- Computer networking knowledge and experience desired
- Proximity to major airport.
- up to 100% travel required: Ability to travel 4 nights per week on average.
- Occasional weekend and holiday travel are needed.
- Graduate of electronics/technology program and MSCE or equivalent IT Certification
- Basic skills and comfort level with electrical and electromechanical systems
- Minimum of a Basic IT understanding relative to Operating Systems, networking, etc.
- Understanding of residential and commercial building/construction methods a plus
- Skilled in use of power hand tools, low-voltage and all will help immensely to facilitate the installation of capital equipment into dental offices.
- Traveling with tools and equipment for installation process will be needed.
- Ability to lift over 100 pounds.
- Valid driver license and ability to obtain a passport if travel outside of the US is necessary.
- Prior military experience is welcomed!
