Job Description

Marketing Manager, CRM

Grove Collaborative

• Own and optimize Grove's lifecycle and trigger ecosystem — including complex Braze canvases, targeting and exclusion logic, Liquid personalization, and technical integrations with Shopify and Recharge • Design, execute, and operationalize A/B and multivariate tests across channels, maintaining an ongoing testing pipeline that compounds learnings over time • Build, QA, and deploy campaigns and canvases directly in Braze across email, push, SMS, and in-app channels • Analyze campaign and trigger performance on a weekly and monthly basis, translating data into actionable insights • Bring a strategic lens to lifecycle program decisions — contributing a point of view on what to prioritize, what to test next, and where the biggest opportunities are • Collaborate cross-functionally — including playing a key role in integrating CRM with new personalization and loyalty infrastructure

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years in CRM or lifecycle marketing, ideally at a multi-category DTC retailer
  • A genuine AI-native mindset — actively using AI tools to accelerate execution, enhance personalization, dig into data, and push the boundaries of what a lean team can accomplish
  • Deep, hands-on experience with Braze — including canvases, campaigns, content blocks, Liquid logic, segmentation, and custom events; experience with an equivalent enterprise ESP considered for exceptional candidates
  • Comfort with technical complexity: custom event payloads, Shopify catalog integrations, subscription platform data (Recharge a plus), recommendation algorithms (Constructor.io a plus), and knowing when and how to request new data or events from Engineering
  • Proven A/B testing chops — not just running tests, but designing them well, measuring them correctly, and building on what you learn
  • Strong analytical instincts and a habit of tying work back to business outcomes, not just execution metrics
  • Solid HTML/CSS proficiency, including the ability to build and modify email templates, troubleshoot rendering issues, and work confidently with dynamic content
  • Enough creative range to craft compelling messaging and contribute meaningfully to briefs — you don't need to be a copywriter, but you know what good looks like and can get there yourself when needed
  • Ability to operate with autonomy and bring strategic perspective — we're looking for a thought partner, not just a builder

Benefits

  • Competitive benefits - medical, vision, dental
  • Equity - shared success is core to our mission
  • Flexible Paid Time Off - we care most about results
  • Free VIP membership and 50% employee discount
  • Working for a company that believes that a small group of people can change the world for the better by creating products and funding initiatives that help the planet!
