Role Description As a Client Accounting Specialist, you’ll take ownership of catch-up and clean-up accounting for new clients during onboarding. Your work will ensure that historical financial data is accurate, complete, and tax-ready. From untangling messy books to resolving reconciliation issues and standardizing processes, you’ll play a critical role in preparing clients for a smooth transition into ongoing services. What you'll do - Design and implement streamlined Chart of Accounts and bookkeeping setups. - Clean up and reclassify historical transactions to ensure accurate financial records. - Reconcile bank, credit card, loan, and Balance Sheet accounts to external statements. - Prepare year-end workpapers and tie Balance Sheets to prior-year tax returns. - Troubleshoot QuickBooks Online issues and manage third-party app integrations. - Meet with clients to gather context, resolve questions, and communicate progress. - Collaborate cross-functionally to transition clients into ongoing bookkeeping services.
