Job Description
Head of Search, Content
Insight Timer
• Own search & discovery end to end: You set the strategy and roadmap for the search experience and the content library. • Managing search quality: You own the ranking trade-offs and the quality bar for what we surface. • Own browse and recommendations: You'll also own the browse experience, and the recommendations and curation that drive its quality. • Curation: You'll decide which content earns placement, where, and why. • Fill the gaps: Use library data and search demand to spot what's missing across topics, formats, and languages. • Scale the library: Grow our content library from 300,000 to millions of pieces of content using scalable systems. • Own the taxonomy and metadata: You'll own the taxonomy and metadata, combining AI-driven labelling with human quality control. • Partner with engineering on search systems: Work closely with engineering, data, and AI teams on how search actually works. • Build search and metadata evaluation loops: Create practical systems for judging whether search is improving. • Work alongside AI and clinical/research teams.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years in product at consumer tech companies, preferably ones that have content libraries or marketplace search dynamics.
- You've worked on search, recommendations, or content discovery and understand queries, intent, and ranking trade-offs.
- You have real fluency in one or more of meditation, mindfulness, yoga, breathwork, sleep, stress, anxiety, emotional wellbeing, spirituality, somatic practice, movement, music for wellbeing, behavior change, psychology, mental health, or adjacent consumer wellbeing spaces.
- You know when a recommendation is likely to be helpful, harmless, speculative, unsupported, overstated, or potentially risky.
- You can reason through trade-offs in ranking, retrieval, metadata pipelines, data quality, AI-assisted tagging, evaluation frameworks, and scalable content systems.
- You've worked with large content catalogs or marketplaces, and you know what it takes to ensure millions of tracks are discoverable.
- You understand that metadata is not back-office administration; it is product infrastructure.
- You're proficient in modern AI prototyping tools.

- The role is fully remote within Australia, with occasional travel.
- Extra leave days are available for your well-being and birthday.
- A generous L&D budget & wellbeing bonus.

• Own the substance of how Sumble shows up in the world: the strategic narrative, the editorial voice, the assets that ship, and the social presence that compounds. • You'll have full strategic ownership, stakeholder authority, and a real budget for tools and external resources. • Define what Sumble sounds like, how we tell our story, and what we put into the world across every format that matters: long-form content, organic social, founder-voice posts, ad creative, sales enablement, brand. • Build the voice guide, tone do's and don'ts, and stylistic conventions that scale across every channel and every contributor, internal and external. • Develop and own Sumble's strategic narrative: the through-line story about why GTM data is broken, what we built, and what becomes possible when teams have signals no one else can produce. • Partner with the founders and Head of Marketing to evolve the narrative as the company and market evolve. • Set the editorial calendar, write the posts, and shape the cadence that earns attention without leaning on paid amplification. • Swing comfortably across formats: essays and market analyses on the long end, social posts and ad copy on the short end, with everything in between. • Track what works and what doesn't, by piece and by channel. Know which content drives pipeline, which drives brand, and which drives nothing, and adjust accordingly. • Mine Sumble's own data and platform signals to produce content no one else can publish: data teardowns, market maps, hiring-signal reports, technology adoption curves.
