HVAC/Mechanical Estimator

Role Description This is a remote position. PERMANENT DAYSHIFT, REMOTE/WFH-PHILIPPINES We are seeking an initiative-taking and experienced Estimator with strong Commercial and Architectural skills to join our team. As an estimator, you will be working closely daily with the Managing Director and will closely liaise with Client Project Managers (PMs), Quantity Surveyors (QS), and key subcontractors during the tender preparation process to clarify scope, design issues, and achieve the most accurate pricing. The Estimator will lead and take ownership of allocated tenders, prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and professional tender submissions. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Project estimation - Preparing a Scope of Works for a wide range of projects - Obtaining competitively priced materials - Preparation and participation in Tender Handover meetings - Form relationships with existing clients including following up on existing tenders - Ensure compliance with Tender requirements - Prepare construction budget by studying plans, specifications, and schedules, identifying and projecting costs - Measurement of critical take-off metrics and preparation of bill of quantities - Sending and tracking of tender packages to contractors and suppliers - Report on tender risk & opportunities - Ensure tender submissions are in line with client requirements Qualifications - Good communication skills - Working knowledge and understanding of architectural drawings - Must be flexible and be able to work to tight deadlines - Previous experience in a similar role is essential - general estimator - The ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team - Be flexible and progressive in thinking and be able to action thoughts - Proficient skills in Excel - Detail oriented (provide detailed quotes covering materials, labor, and installation costs) Requirements - Working hours: 9AM-5PM Sydney - Target start date: ASAP - Rate: $10-12 AUD per hour, 30 hours weekly to start
