Team Velocity Marketing
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ELT/ETL workflows. • Develop and optimize data models and enterprise data structures that support reporting, analytics, machine learning, and operational applications. • Leverage Snowflake and modern cloud data platforms to ingest, transform, and optimize large datasets. • Partner with Business Intelligence and Data Science teams to deliver trusted, production-ready datasets. • Design and implement data quality, validation, and monitoring processes. • Support both batch and near real-time data integration requirements. • Develop APIs and data services that enable internal and customer-facing applications. • Optimize data pipeline performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. • Document data architectures, pipeline processes, and engineering standards. • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to the organization's data platform. • Mentor team members and help establish engineering best practices.
Job Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong SQL skills and extensive experience working with modern cloud data platforms, preferably Snowflake.
- Strong proficiency with Python and data engineering development practices.
- Experience designing and maintaining large-scale ELT/ETL pipelines.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and distributed data architectures.
- Experience integrating structured and semi-structured data from multiple internal and external sources.
- Familiarity with data orchestration and transformation frameworks.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple initiatives.

You will build and operate the data infrastructure that powers analytics, reporting, and self-service data access across the organization, while keeping the platform reliable, governed, and cost-efficient. Key Responsibilities - ETL / ELT Pipeline Automation: Build and operate scalable ELT/ETL pipelines using open-source tools (Python, Spark, etc) and managed platforms such as Fivetran, etc, applying automation-first patterns to minimize per-source engineering effort. Own the dbt project end-to-end - model layering, testing, deployment, and lineage - and instrument pipelines with data quality checks, SLA alerting, and CI/CD practices. - Platform Administration & Operations: Administer Data platform tools such as Snowflake, AWS Services, DBT Cloud across all environments, warehouse sizing, query optimization, object lifecycle, RBAC design, and Row-Level Security implementation with access provisioning automated through scripting or infrastructure-as-code. Own alerting and notification automation for pipeline health, data quality breaches, and cost spikes, and provide operational support and administration. May need to participate in On-Call rotations. This is a remote eligible position. Candidates who sit within a 45 mile radius of Boston, MA; Denver, CO; Detroit, MI will be required to work hybrid (2 days per week in office). All candidates will be required to work EST hours. What will help you succeedMinimum Requirements: - 6+ years of data engineering experience with senior-level ownership of pipelines and ingestion systems.
