Tech Systems Inc. (TSi)
• You’ll serve as the outsourced Controller for a portfolio of US-based clients — communicating proactively, participating in calls and meetings, and ensuring every interaction reflects our high standards for service and responsiveness. • You’ll onboard new clients, building out the accounting processes, systems, and procedures that set each relationship up for long-term success. • You’ll lead special projects including system migrations, M&A preparation, budget development, chart of accounts redesigns, and other strategic financial initiatives. • You’ll prepare and review timely, accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and management reports, providing strategic financial guidance to clients around growth, investor reporting, and compliance. • You’ll lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals — delegating daily tasks, reviewing and approving work products for accuracy and quality, and coordinating workload across multiple client engagements.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of overall accounting and finance experience with at least 3 years in a Controller role at a US-based public accounting firm
- Demonstrated experience supporting investor-backed (VC/PE) or high-growth businesses with > $5 Million annual revenue.
- Deep technical proficiency across US GAAP, financial reporting standards, and US compliance including payroll, sales & use tax, property tax, and business licenses — along with hands-on experience in NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online/Desktop, and Advanced Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements concurrently without compromising quality — experience in a multi-client outsourced or CAS environment is strongly preferred.
- Experience managing, mentoring, and developing a team of accounting professionals, with the ability to delegate, review work, and hold team members accountable to deadlines and quality standards.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for founders, CFOs, and investors.
