Role Description The Senior Software Engineer - Workday PATT configures the Workday HRIS based on business requirements developed in partnership with cross-functional HR and technology teams and in support of organizational goals. You will partner with Payroll and Benefits teams to understand business needs and define system requirements. Additionally, you will configure Workday Payroll, Absence, and Time-Tracking components and business processes to support an associate experience. You will also partner with technology developers to offer business process subject matter expertise to develop technology integrations. The Senior Software Engineer - Workday PATT will understand the current and future business needs and identify and configure HR Systems to support those needs. This position partners with the Payroll and Benefits teams and other teams throughout Humana. You will work as part of the Workday systems business process configuration team within HR, engaging in standardized processes to ensure stability of our platforms through constant evolution. Job Responsibilities: - Continuously work to improve the associate experience. - Partner with Payroll and Benefits teams to better understand their strategy and to help identify current and future technology solutions to meet their needs. - Cultivate a deep knowledge of individual workstream within Workday, including features and functionality that are not yet utilized by Humana but may be of benefit to the organization. - Partner with tech developers when developing Workday integrations and offer business process framework support and consultation services to tech throughout their integration development. - Partner with others on the Workday configuration team to understand impacts of various change requests throughout the system. - Serve as tier 3 support to end-users of the system, working to provide an ideal associate experience. - Ensure the supported workstreams allow associates to efficiently and effectively function within Workday and other HR systems. Qualifications - 3+ years of experience configuring Workday specifically in Payroll, Absence and Time-Tracking workstreams. - Experience identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues through Workday reporting and business process configuration. - Demonstrated ability to build strong, positive working relationships. - User-focused design experience or experience planning and designing with the end-user in mind. - Experience leveraging technology and tools to communicate, track, document, and analyze the use of HR systems. - Demonstrated strong oral, written and presentation skills. - Experience working as part of an interdependent team supporting an enterprise HR application. - Ability to influence and coach without hierarchical responsibility. - Ability to engage partners and primary system users to co-develop complex technical solutions using Workday business process framework. Requirements - Experience with other Workday workstreams beyond Payroll, Absence and Time-Tracking. - Familiarity with Payroll Operations and United States Time and Leave policies. - Experience implementing and stabilizing Workday within a company of similar scale and complexity to Humana. - HR technology system leadership experience. - Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
