Role Description We are seeking a Systems Engineer II with at least four years of experience to provide engineering support across technical projects, applying established engineering principles to design, integrate, test, and maintain system‑level solutions. This role is ideal for candidates with foundational engineering experience who can follow defined processes, collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams, and contribute to reliable, repeatable, and well‑documented technical outcomes. - Support the design, development, and integration of hardware, software, cloud components, and user interfaces into cohesive system solutions. - Assist in defining system requirements and ensuring alignment with project objectives. - Participate in system configuration, documentation updates, and version control activities. - Participate in system testing activities, including the development of test cases and documentation. - Maintain data quality by performing routine audits, validation checks, and updates within CMMS. - Follow established data governance practices to ensure compliance with organizational policies. - Support data entry standards, documentation, and routine quality assurance tasks. - Generate reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI to support facility operations and planning. - Track and update Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) based on organizational reporting needs. - Assist in identifying operational trends or opportunities for efficiency using structured analysis methods. - Support the development and refinement of system requirements for facility data, asset tracking, and maintenance workflows. - Work closely with facility operations, IT, and data teams to maintain system functionality and ensure alignment across workflows. - Provide basic user support and training on data tools, dashboards, and reporting processes. - Translate stakeholder needs into clear, actionable system or reporting updates. - Support Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to ensure consistent data integration across systems. - Maintain documentation related to data quality, system configurations, and reporting procedures. - Ensure digital records and data structures adhere to organizational and federal requirements. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Information Systems, Facility Management, Data Management, or a related field. - Minimum of four (4) years of experience in systems engineering, data management, or maintenance and operations. Requirements - Familiarity with CMMS platforms and data analytics tools. - Working knowledge of ETL processes, data governance fundamentals, and KPI tracking. - Ability to analyze datasets using established methods and provide clear, actionable summaries. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. - Effective communication and teamwork skills. - Strong expertise in facility management software (e.g., CMMS) and data analytics tools. - Proficiency in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, KPIs, data governance, and data quality assurance. - Experience ensuring reporting requirements are met while maintaining high data quality and reporting accuracy. - Act as liaison between facility operations, IT, and data teams. - Provide user training on dashboards, apps, and data tools. - Ensure digital records align with organizational and federal compliance requirements. - Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex datasets and provide actionable insights. - Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to facility data management. Preferred Skills - Experience with predictive maintenance tools or facility‑related data systems. - Experience with SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools. - Experience supporting data workflows or enterprise reporting systems. Role Description This position offers fully remote opportunities for candidates across the United States. Preferred work locations: Arlington VA, Denver CO, or Merritt Island, FL. Airbus U.S. is looking for an enthusiastic and creative Principal Systems Engineer to design and analyze new satellite and aerospace systems. We're looking for candidates who can bring exceptional engineering skills and strong experience in aerospace programs to the team. Position Responsibilities: - The Principal Systems Engineer's primary responsibility will be contributing to the development of Airbus U.S.'s satellite systems by leading Fault Management. - Involved in the full lifecycle of development, from requirements definition through operations. - Provide autonomous support of complex assignments, under the leadership of the Systems Engineering Manager and Program Chief Engineers. - Have project and subject matter responsibility and authority. Systems Engineering - 75% - Perform Fault Management Architecture tasks for Airbus U.S. satellite systems, including the heritage Arrow platform: - Fault Management Requirements development – initial definition, decomposition and flow down, specification maintenance and ownership. - Fault Management System design and trade studies – high level concept trades to support subsequent detail design. - Fault Management Verification planning and testing – verification matrices, buy-off / sell-off, test planning, etc. - Support the development of subsystem level requirements and requirement flow-down to the various components and parts as necessary. - Drive multiple design activities (programs or mission) – could lead to spacecraft, payload, and/or satellite bus activities. - Participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of engineering and integration activities. Roadmap Development - 15% - Support Airbus spacecraft development product roadmap, which includes design adjustments, schedule, and cost targets aligned for future business captures. - Support the definition of spacecraft customization process for customer mission needs.
