Principal Solution Engineer

• Understand prospect’s business and complex technical requirements and craft an overall solution vision demonstrating our fit and value from customer requirements. • Create innovative technology focused solutions of our software in a pre-sales environment. • Develop and deliver value-based demonstrations of our software and related applications, of both standard and customized product value. • Develop and present proof of concepts (POCs) to demonstrate product feasibility. • Manage sales follow-up, meetings, proposal and internal account planning through the sales cycle. • Bridge the gap between business needs and technical capabilities. • Collaborate with Sales Teams to discuss, strategy, pipeline and opportunities. • Drive the technical deal signoff process with Sales, Product Management and Engineering.
Job Requirements
- BS degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of field or technical sales experience in enterprise software.
- Proficiency in one of the following areas:
- Digital Rights Management
- Windows or Linux administration
- System Management
- Enterprise Security
- ERP, PLM, or related
- GRC
- Information Lifecycle Management
- Database and BI
- Identity Access Management
- Working knowledge of security infrastructure is a plus.
- Strong product presentation skills.
- Experience with developing Demos and running POC.
- Good customer interaction skills and ability to analyze complex problems, interpret customer requirements and create actionable technical plans.
- Strong understanding of the sales cycle.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
